We should be allowed to quick sell collected players again
-
So, I’ll use my own situation as a for instance.
I am 2 teams away from completing collections. I need Nolan, story, bellinger, and buehler.
If I quick sold all the diamonds I had, it would come out to 140k, enough for 2 of the 4
If i quick sold every single gold from every team, you come out to 91k. Add them up and you have 251k and enough to buy bellinger, buehler, story, and Arenado..
I’m making this because I have no idea why I’m forced to hold on to useless gold cards.
I’d probably Be able to triple the amount of gold players by exchanging silvers.
I get the reasoning, but it feels so pay to win. Especially when they know the golds won’t be useful in a few weeks.
I think of the live series diamonds, I’d probably only keep a couple of them. Bellinger, trout, and acuna, and some of the pitching. They know that people are gonna stop using ls cards soon enough, especially with collection rewards. It’s just dumb they did this. I don’t care if it’s to be more like real card collecting, it’s pointless.
-
100% agree
-
Your explanation is the exact reason why they did it. Its more of an issue early in the year with increased prices, but you should not be able to complete all but 5 or 6 collections for absolutely free after quickselling. Most of these diamonds will go for 5k stubs by july. Why should you get 5k back for buying a 5k card?

Obviously rich people do not care, but I think most of us are not rich.

They did it to make more money. That is always the incentive for anything they do. They are a company and it is their job to make money.

Obviously, but its not like its out of the blue. In no other sports game are you allowed to buy a card specifically for a collection and then sell it back for what you paid for it. I think they should be exchangeable but I don't want everyone and their mother to have Mantle like they did mays last year
-
I say its fine the way it is but they should have a way of exchanging Diamonds that we don't want for other diamonds. IE 4 85 overall diamonds gets you a 88+ overall diamond
These 88+ would be unsellable as well
-
Imagine the Honus card collection last year, but in mlb 20. It would be impossible to get him without dropping a couple thousand.

I actually agree with that. I would be happy with just being able to exchange locked cards. Especially if they included golds for diamonds and diamonds for higher diamonds.

I feel like someone in upper management decided SDS needed to beat their profits from last year and this was the only way to do that. They had to make a fortune last year. I believe though, that this is going to backfire on them. People like me are just not going to buy stubs because I am not even going to try to complete collections.

The #1 reason sports video games are dying. If the game was free, I’d buy way more stubs. They already charging you 60-100$ for the games and then it cost at least 20$ to get a team started. And that’s an average at best team.

I got Honus in 19 NMP. I'll be getting the 20 Equivalent NMP as well.

Well, you better get some 12-0s or flip the market like it’s your job. It will be 10x tougher this year to get that card. The collections were so much better last year. They had quicksell options and the rewards were worth it for the most part. This year has some bad rewards for the most part.

Some people just don't realize how easy flipping cards is. Obviously its not for everyone, but i got every Major collection done and the only money I spent was to buy Trout straight up. and that was just because it was the last card I needed for Mays and got impatient. I probably also spent 3 Mil on packs. Alot of the extra stubs for pack was from quickselling but I wouldn't be mad if I bought less packs

It’s obviously not rocket science, but some people just don’t have that amount of time to sit and flip all day. The profits were great the first week, but that will change over time I think.

How does it cost 20 bucks to get a team started?
I got the deluxe, 30kbstub to start, sold every card I got in packs, LS Harper and a DIA bat, bought 1 20 bundle got LS Story, sold everything ended up with 160 k, only thing I bought is Bohm and Rollins, all 5 of headliner 2 and 3(but didn't get any good)
have legacy Harper, 3 of the 7 special diamonds, conquest Mays and big Frank, and evo Pudge, LS kimbrel and LS Rogers( CP-MIN), and 170k stubs, only flipped twice so far, cause the market is so volatile.
so again how do you "have to" spend money to get a halfway decent team? -

Okay, then why not give the LS cards realistic ratings so they can compete with prime cards, signature series, and awards cards?

Because all of the good live series players will get prime cards and awards cards, finest too if we have a season.
