Sean wants all of use to be like Steve Trachsel. A game that should take 45 minutes to take 2 hours to play.
he needs that absolute realism. he wears batting gloves when he plays and adjusts them between pitches
He plays standing up and sets up like the hitter. that is why he needs to hold R2
All for him to just press X and let the cpu hit for him lmao
Exactly

So can you step off the rubber an unlimited amount of times now? Im 110% positive there used to be a limit of how many times a pitcher was allowed to step off the rubber. In regard to quick pitching, I have absolutely no problem with that. If I’m in the box and haven’t called time.....then it’s on me! What I don’t appreciate for example, is when my pitcher is up and my opponent knows I’m gonna pinch hit and they smash a button and don’t give me an opportunity to pinch hit. This really happens and it’s not cuz I’m slow. I’m also smashing the pause button to try and get my hitter in the game. In regard to using R2 to “see where I’m being pitched”? I’m a former WS player and consistently over 700. I’m not great but I’m not terrible. I have NEVER ONCE in 5 years of playing this game used R2 to see where I’m being pitched. If you don’t know where you’re being pitched just pack up and quit! Find another game.

It takes less than a second to look at pitch history from the previous at bat. Stepping off the mound with runners on base is only 3 times if they do not take the extra lead. I have not had any issues with stepping off the mound. The problem here is the players who hold R2 for the full amount of time they can on every pitch regardless of QP or not. I do not need to find another game and it is great that you have a mind that can remember exactly every pitch where you been pitched for every batter. Not all of us were blessed with a memory like that. I do not need to remember when it takes less than a second to quickly look buy pressing R2 not holding it down.
FYI I do not look at pitch history for every hitter every inning.

I cant believe we have someone advocating for holding R2, when they are using directional hitting. Seriously? You are pressing a single button. It's not like you have to even move a PCI that may be effected if you arent quite ready. Its literally pressing a button. Get out of here with the "I need 5 seconds between pitches" garbage.

5 second timer between pitches seems a bit excessive. Also not everyone wants to sit there and take over an hour for a game so try to understand why people try not to take long between pitches? You can't ask people to try and understand your side without extending the same courtesy
Then live with R2 holding. I’m not going to let someone throw 10 pitches in 3 seconds like it’s a machine gun. If you don’t want a timer, R2 is the best way to make both sides happy.
What exactly is wrong with a pitcher working quickly and how is that anything but a good thing? I use R2 a bit because there’s some useful info there, but once you’ve gathered that info, let’s play the [censored] game. It’s not like you’re a real hitter in an actual MLB game. What are you possibly doing with that extra time when you’re holding R2?
Exactly and in a real game the pitcher does not have to wait for a hitter to be ready. They can quick pitch all the want as long as the batter is in the box and ump is ready.
Then allow me to stand outside the batter box like in real life.
press down on the pad it calls timeout like in real life
Give me the ability to do it with every pitch just like you have the ability to quick pitch with every pitch.
You should already be ready to hit. When pitcher is ready to pitch that is the bottom line it is baseball, It is a video game. There is no need to hold R2 to the fullest time every pitch of the game. I am bad a hitting in this game but I am good enough this year to be above 500. You must be really bad at hitting if you have to hold R2 using directional. At least those who use analog explained why they do it. You have no excuse except you are not ready to hit.
No your wrong, it’s when the batter is ready in real life, not the pitcher. You really ended your argument with your ignorance on that one.
Do you watch baseball, The pitcher pitches when ump is ready, The batter has to call time and even if batter calls time the ump does not have to grant. The pitcher controls the tempo of the game.If the batter is in the box and not ready the pitcher can pitch the ball. the batter does not have to be ready for a pitcher to pitch.
The official rule says the batter has to be ready.

This is a MLB rule
Pitcher is ready and batters in the box, the QP in MLB is for safety, In this game no reason for safety to the hitters, Like I said when the pitcher is ready to pitch you can pitch and does not need to stop in the delivery now if you want to argue about the balks with runners on base that is a different story.

They have to be in the box not actually have to be ready, The ump is ready the pitcher ready then the pitcher can pitch, some batter are in the box but not actually ready and the ump will call the pitch.
Rule 8.05(e) Comment: A quick pitch is an illegal pitch. Umpires will judge a quick pitch as one delivered before the batter is reasonably set in the batter's box. With runners on base the penalty is a balk; with no runners on base, it is a ball. The quick pitch is dangerous and should not be permitted.
You left out the part that that rule is in place only for the safety of the hitters.

No, it's there. I don't have an opinion on the R2 debate. I pitch slow, and if someone starts fast pitching too much, I might hit pause on them. After all, that's what I want them to do, pause.

If you want this game to be played like MLB then each game should take at least 3 hours to play. This is a Video game. You should be ready to hit and if you are not ready to hit then why even play the game. When I pitch I select my pitch select location takes less then 2 seconds and then still have to wind up to pitch. If you can not be ready in that amount of time and have to hold R2 that just sad. If you push R2 for other information and not doing it every pitch of every battter then no need to discuss this topic. This is for those who do it to the full amount of time for every pitch to every batter.

When do we see the thread for runners taking extra lead and pitcher stepping off mound repeatedly to counter?
