No, no, no, no way. I have noticed the exact opposite. It is much better. They rarely even field regular type plays. And I am ok with that. They have to be diamond or gold to get to most balls.

Last night, I hit a screamer that bounced off the pitcher's foot into the air that the 1st baseman caught for an out. Gotta love that realism! 🤣

Also, they added animations associated with their fielding. Bronze and down are sure slow throwing to 1B.

I’m sick of the 1-5-3 ground out. Year after year with some of the same dumb stuff. The ball bounces off the pitcher like he’s made of steel.

It’s actually cast iron, but neither here nor there.

Nothing wrong with that, it happens. I can explain, he was wearing metal cleats! Yes, and even the shoe laces are made of...yes, you guessed it...metal.

Online it isn’t in issue. In showdown and anything vs cpu it always deflects directly for an out.

Fair, if that's what you're noticing. I'm the opposite. I have hit the pitcher with batted balls a ton, at least a couple a game. It did feel improved last year, but I'm seeing it a ton this year.

As stated above, online, this isn’t really an issue. When playing against AI, it’s a huge issue, for one main reason. The AI seems to know exactly what’s going to happen and instead of reacting to a hit up the middle, the infielders react to where they know the ball will land and run straight to that spot, thus making it an easy out. This scenario proves the underlying RNG, since the AI knows exactly what’s going to happen as soon as the bat hits the ball.

I had one game where I had two sure singles snagged by a pitcher.... but it’s waaaaay better in my opinion. I’ve only hit a few pitchers. I also appreciate that there are injuries when taking a 103 mph liner to the noggin.
