You don't have to honor him, but pretending he doesn't exist? Removing all traces?
Sorry, sports don't work that way, especially team sports.
What are you going to do when playing as the 1991 Blue Jays?
????????, 2B
Joe Carter, RF
Kelly Gruber, 3B
Manuel Lee, SS
Rance Mulliniks, DH
Greg Myers, C
John Olerud,1B
Devon White, CF
Mookie Wilson, LFmore than half those dudes arent even in the game anyway so it wont make a difference

Great ball player, terrible human being
Its a good thing this game has absolutely nothing to do with his personal life.
It’s an even better thing his disgusting actions are being exposed to the point his personal life will have him removed from a game that has absolutely nothing to do with it.
Can you tell me anything about these "disgusting actions" because the Blue Jays and MLB havent said anything. What exactly did he do?
Sexual harassment and assault.
It was sexual misconduct, which could be anything from saying "Hey you look really pretty today" to brushing up against someone walking into a room or actual intentional unwanted touching. They aren't telling us what that misconduct was. Maybe you're totally fine with crucifying someone without knowing the situation but those of us that are normal aren't.
doesnt matter if it was assault or misconduct, obviously it was something worth investigating. MLB had a law firm investigate and they found enough evidence to cut ties with him. MLB is a business and if any entity isnt representing the brand the way they want them to then MLB has the right to cut ties. I dont understand how difficult it is for some of you to understand this. MLB is not going to just add a player to the ineligible list for no reason as well as the Blue Jays arent going to go through the hassle of removing him from the stadium for no reason.

I don't wanna get into politics or BS on here, but seriously man bury the card and move on chief. Its not like he's babysitting our kids or anything. Simply remove him from your squad and as Aaron Roger's once said R-E-L-A-X

I just read the Jays are removing his number and banner from Skydome so that's a pretty solid statement.
yea they are removing any ties to him altogether. unrelated but isnt this the same dude that intentionally spit in an umpires face?
That’s correct. Alomar told us what kind of person he is a long time ago imo.

Ty Cobb did much worse. Pretending Roberto Alomar, Jr didn't exist... what are you going to do for the 1992 Blue Jays? Have a random guy in his spot? Pretend he never existed?
https://thegruelingtruth.com/baseball/ty-cobb-truth-about-the-greatest/
But the most outrageous incident might be what happened more than a century ago today. While playing against the Highlanders in New York, Cobb was so incensed by remarks from a heckler named Claude Lucker that he charged into the stands and attacked the man. As Cobb began beating and stomping the man with those razor-sharp cleats that had punished so many basemen, a crew of his teammates held people at bay. Some in the crowd protested, since Lucker had lost all of one hand and most of the other in an industrial accident, and couldn't defend himself with his fists. A cry went up: “Cobb, that man has no hands!” Cobb reportedly yelled back in a psychotic rage, “I don’t care if he got no feet!” Protected by his teammates, the beating went on until a cop and an umpire led Cobb away.
youre comparing something that happened 100 years ago to something that happened just a handful of years ago. like what? do yall people think before typing?

Stop with the cancel culture BS, He hasn’t been found guilty in a court of law so just relax already. It’s just a card in a game If you’re that concerned don’t use the card.
I loathe cancel culture. I mean some of it yeah it’s justified but most of it is so stupid.

this isnt even cancel culture. MLB found out he did something inappropriate and fired him. very simple

Does anyone actually even know what he did yet? You can be "sexually inappropriate" by telling s woman she looks great in jeans these days for crying out loud! My goodness whatever happened to letting something play out before being absolutely torched? I hope for all you who are thrashing the guy have never done anything that could be deemed inappropriate these days. If it comes out that he did something foul, then yeah farewell chief. But man until then atleast give it a chance to play out!

For all the people saying that telling a woman these days she looks nice could be considered misconduct If you dont know the difference between a compliment and misconduct you are definitely a creep.

Ehhh you should go read through some reddit subs. Twoxchromosomes and femaledatingstrategy absolutely push a position that a lot of innocuous things are harrassment.
I don’t know what happened here as there is zero details, but I do find it tough to throw the guy under the bus, especially based on an incident from 2014 which is 7 years. It can only be a he said she said situation at this point.

There are limitless reasons for not speaking up right away. Being in a position where noone is going to listen and your career will be ruined because you are speaking out against someone in power. You are embarrassed or ashamed(a lot of victims feel shame and blame themselves or even feel like they deserved what happenned because of the trauma they've been through). Those are just a couple examples So bringing up how long ita been as a reason not to believe someone is nonsense.

Well, sucks for you since you won't be able to watch the 1991 or 1992 Blue Jays World Series championships anymore.
No one pretends OJ Simpson wasn't a member of the Buffalo Bills.
1992 and 1993 you mean...
Twins won in '91

the mlb isnt going to ban a HOF player bc he told a lady she looked nice. theyve investigated already. obviously they found something suspect enough to cut ties.

- CF Devon White
- 2B ????????????
- DH Dave Winfield
- RF Joe Carter
- 1B John Olerud
- LF Candy Maldonado
- 3B Ed Sprague
- C Pat Borders
- SS Manny Lee
The '93 team was even better..
Replace Winfield with Molitor, Tony Fernandez instead of Lee, Rickey Henderson instead of Maldanado..
And Olerud, Molitor, and ?????? Finished 1,2,3 for the batting title..
Anywho.... -

I mean, MLB cut ties from Atlanta for the All Star Game over lies regarding updates to election laws, so, no I don't think he had to have done something. Maybe he did, maybe he didn't, but right now in the current environment an accusation is enough for an organization or business to cut ties. We wouldn't have a game here if every player, coach, former player, etc. was investigated for misconduct because you'd probably be shocked at what would come out.

bro this investigation was done by a third party as well as this news came out of no where. I highly doubt they banned him from baseball over "lies". Its not as if the lady reported publicly and they banned him without due diligence. she reported privately and they investigated pretty quietly as well
