1st Inning Program Extended

As far as the program, I can see giving a lump sum of XP (I’m talking 100k) as compensation for not being able to play. The problem with that is that some people were able to play enough to get to 650k in spite of the servers and glitches, so the xp wouldn’t be a fair makeright for those people. I’m at 560k just by completing collections and playing many games against the CPU. I haven’t even done the 35k player programs or conquest. If double xp and the lost game stats (because of servers) had been working as designed, I would’ve had easily close to another 200k xp. My wife was out of town the first weekend and I played non-stop when servers were up. I’ve got superfractors for 3 different pitchers (takes about 26 cpu games to level one up). If they do have makerights, it would need to be a combination of XP, packs, and/or stubs. Frankly I don’t see them giving out much more than a 10-pack, which I see as unacceptable for the people that were so affected by the problems. I was lucky enough to have time to play it on release. I won’t have that much time going forward. I also lost 170k stubs the first night on selling cards (that were eventually returned via support). Honestly, I would be able to stick out and forgive the server issues if SDS just had better communication about the problems. No matter how you spin this, lack of communication is poor business when things have been so bad the first couple weeks. SDS is kinda like this every year, but with Xbox and so many new players onboard, they need to change their PR policies. Some folks will still be toxic towards the situation but a great number of us would sympathize way better if there was just some communication about problems, progress, and potential solutions. Remaining silent is just never the best thing to do in business when you are trying to maintain and grow. Honesty is the best policy typically even if it’s to say that you don’t know how to fix it yet but you’re trying, be patient with us, and you’ll compensate players in some way when it’s fixed.

why would we want it to be extended?! Next innings cards are better and you can still finish objectives from the first inning
You can't finish objectives for the previous inning. SDS has stated once it's gone it's gone. So when 2nd inning drops 1st inning will go away completely.
Ok that does make a difference. I just assumed it was the same as last year
-
Gift 100,000 XP, and move on with it, people that are done won’t be affected and delayed content, and 100,000XP upfront for the first inning is more than enough for people to finish. If you can’t with that you weren’t ever going too.

They gave us a new game during a pandemic. You sound entitled.
They didn't "give us" anything I paid for a product. Don't want to sound entitled but that product should work.

How many times is this gonna get posted? This is getting ridiculous.
You know what will stop all these posts? If the servers can stay up for a few days in a row.
Then we can get back to normal with 15 different threads on why hitting, pitching, or fielding are broken and need to be patched and why moments suck.
Exactly, is that too much to ask. On a side note moments are fine for me this year and I think it’s because of the quicker loading times on ps5. Not having to wait 5 minutes to complete a 30 second moment has helped my stress levels immensely.
The load times on next gen are a game changer for DD. I feel like things just move along so quick. Conquest when you get in a Grove just fly by. Same with showdown. I played on my One S and turned it off soon slow

Don’t forget about comeback logic and how directional hitting is a cheat code.

if you only casually (once every couple of days) don't expect to finish programs, regardless of the servers, the programs have and always will be meant for the grind. You can't just play every couple days, not grind and expect to be rewarded.

They always reward people for playing the game (when we can play it) and they always do a good job at putting out content. Maybe extending the inning program is not the best way to reward people that have had issues but they still need to reward people that are going through issues.
why do we need to be rewarded?
You seem like a real fun guy to be around.

We have had tons of server issues, people losing stubs, people losing cards and ranked seasons record issues. At the very least a 10 pack bundle.
they don't owe us anything. Yeah it sucks that servers have been bad, but at the same time they gave us a great game this year, hitting and pitching finally work. Be grateful for a new game at all. It'll be fine in the long haul.
Servers have been bad??? Your the same bananahead that told me the online gaming has been perfect this year and I need to stop crying... now just one day later you say they are bad???? Stop being a troll... go outside and get some fresh air [censored].

and a ten pack bundle? so you can pull some bronzes, meanwhile the guy that played one day when it released pulls infinite diamonds lol.
Did you notice what I said there "the very least"
They should be giving people more than that.
They gave us a new game during a pandemic. You sound entitled.
Entitled??? A new game during a pandemic... you need to get outside bro... 95% of the American workforce is back to work now. Some of us who worked through the entire pandemic outside of our home... think that saying it's an accomplishment to release a game during a pandemic is a joke. Every other gaming company is making games too... you act like SDS deserves a plaque or something.

To everyone on this thread. Servers suck, yes. Sds is working on the issues, yes. Should we get compensated for the amount of issues, yes. Has sds compensated us in the past for issues, yes.
Will eating sugar free haribo gummy bears give one diarrhea, yes. We just have to wait for all of the above examples to come to fruition and we’ll all be happy unless you did eat the haribo sugar free bears, in that case you won’t be playing on the servers anyway.
- Astros still cheated
- Be careful when playing games too long too because you could end up with carpal tunnel
- Dont hold your urine while playing either, it’s not healthy and it makes you swing horribly.

If I buy a car and it's not working for the first week+ I sure as hell am not thinking "hey I should be grateful they gave me a new car it'll be fine in the long haul"
This is such a stupid analogy. First off, if you bought a car for the 100 bucks you paid for this game then you got hosed and should be laughed at thinking a 100 dollar car would be reliable. Secondly, this game won't get you around the city, help you get to work, help you go see your family and various other things. It's just a video game lol.
I get you should get something that works for 100 dollars when you buy a game but don't compare it to something that is extremely different. It's not at all the same thing. Again, it's just a video game.
And on top of that, if you have a car that is not working properly, what do you do? Take it to the shop, take it back? Do you go onto a forum and say that it should work right now and complain?
Call Sony, ask for a refund. Call SDS and ask for a refund. Sell the game, trade it in whatever or wait for the fixes that will come. I understand anger and frustration but not when people try to use a car as an analogy

Dude most of your post was about the bad analogy. 69 words in your opening stanza. Then yes you do mention that you should get something that works. You spent 39 words on that. Only to follow it up with another part on the bad analogy (another 43 words) and then follow up with the refund part which has nothing to do with me or my post only to finish with your 4 last words again being about the car analogy.
When someone spends that much of their long post on what they think is a bad analogy what do you think any response is going to be about?
It's like trashing your co-worker but adding in the middle of trashing the co-worker that you think their shirt is nice. of course the co-worker is going to respond to the bulk of what you did which was trash them not the 1 comment about their nice shirt.
So I didn't miss your point. You belabored it so I couldn't miss it. You thought it was a bad analogy. Fine that's your opinion but don't tell me your point was buried inbetween the rest of your post.

Nope, you clearly missed it. Not shocking though
