RTTS NO PROGRESSION
-
All you need to do is play once with your Ballplayer in a DD game. I am a starting pitcher for the Tigers currently, and i just do an offline game and I pitch one inning. Then I quit the game and go to RTTS and I have no issues progressing on my program.
If you are a position player, all you need to do is have one full AB. After that you can quit.
You will need to do this every time you load up the game to make sure you progress properly. Obviously it's still annoying, but it is a temporary fix until SDS provides us with a proper fix.

The proposed temporary fix does work sometimes, but not consistently. I've compared notes with three friends and we haven't been able to determine what variables make a difference. For one thing, you may need to perform the fix in DD more often than after each time you load up the game. Unfortunately there's no way to confirm that your progress will count until after you've already put in the time to play a full game in RTTS.

Way to botch a game launch, literally every mode is broken in some way. Integrating the online servers with all game modes was clearly a HUGE mistake. RTTS is basically unplayable RN, players don't progress correctly, equipment doesn't work, you can't make multiple players anymore. What a disappointment of a game, I wish I still had my copy of MLB 20... I might just buy another copy of MLB 20 because this game is clearly broken out of the gate. The only parts I've enjoyed so far is the increased frame rates & the option to be a two way player. Completely disappointed in this year's iteration so far.

It’s worse now I only get progression on 30% of the games I play I have over 45 steals but still working on silver badge. It is more frustrating by no roadmap and communication on when the fix is timed. This puts the nail in the coffin for me this is the last SDS game I purchase.

I’m in my third season in the majors and I am still working on my silver archetype. It’s very annoying. I am only a 76 overall.

^^^^This!
I have tried the work around about 15 times over the past week and it's only worked about 1/3rd of the time and that's not counting the times the server went down midgame and I lost all progress even after doing the work around.

It's a bug. I quit playing the mode over a week ago when mine stopped progressing. There are apparently work arounds to get it going again but i am just waiting for a patch.
do you know when we could possibly Get a patch.

Unfortunately not.
In my opinion we should have already gotten one for the most egregious issues.

yea i like the game a lot and I think features could be cool but rtts is pretty much unplayable and besides that the servers are terrible.

I literally went to Best Buy and bought a copy of MLB 20. I knew I shouldn't have gotten rid of my copy! But I was duped by SDS again with this pile of hot garbage. SDS YOU GUYS JUST LOST A 15 YEAR CUSTOMER. MLB 20 is now my official baseball game. I'm returning my copy of MLB 21 & I'm not playing again until RTTS/DD integration & Online integration/Single Player integration is gone. I will not support your products if this how you guys treat your long time customers. I know, I'm one drop in a pond, probably doesn't matter that much to you guys, but I hope SDS starts losing customers because of this B.S. & they start ACTUALLY listening to the fans

Possible fix that is working for me.
I have progressed 10 games in a row after doing this, including one game as pitcher. Both loadouts progressed accurately.
I am afraid to quit the game and test that it works again, so I am gonna ride this will it's working and will edit/comment after I try to repeat the process.
Do the DD one at bat technique as soon as you log on, and then...
- Go back into RTTS, hit the BACK button (double square looking small button on xbox) that brings up a column of options on the left side of the screen.
- Go to inbox. Right bumper to settings. Last setting is "missions." Make sure this is on.
- optional - check your rtts progression numbers that are stuck and write them down.
- Play a game, but DO NOT EVER use the "sim to next appearance" option, whether it's the option that comes up after each play along with the "watch whole game" option, or the one in the pause menu with the 6 tabs at the top.
a. after each at bat, if not on the bases, let it go to the screen with the lineups that show you each at bat. Hit B to skip to your next appearance. - Go back to club house after each game. Not sure if this matters, but it's what I am doing.
-
Gotta love it. Half of the people want to play RTTS but don't get credit, and the other half don't want to play and just simulate til they max their Ballplayer out. So it basically works out more for those who don't want to play RTTS.
