No, never said it did. Did I? No. Don't infer. I was just putting it into comparison, at least at times you could actually play this game. I'm trying to put it into perspective, where the servers in 17 were so slow it would take ages to move through the menus and impossible to get a game. I know we all want to play the game now, but at least we have the chance to play it at times compared to none of the time.

It's 100 percent true. I've been playing since 12. Did the first ever DD. The servers are always a problem early. This is similar to 15 and 16 when they were down for the first month

I've been playing this game since 14 with miggy on the cover and I've preordered each one. You girls act like it'll be this way forever. Put your big boy pants on and deal with the mild inconvenience until they get their [censored] together. We all know that by the middle of May this will be the best sports game on the market. Hell it already is even with all the issues.
Until their multiple game modes and menus stop sending non-stopped information to servers, it won't be fixed. That will require a complete revamp of menu programing and layout. If they get that done by may, they deserve a standing ovation.
This [censored] happens literally every year. And it get fixed literally every year. Yea it sucks that the servers keep crapping out but things happen.
That's simply not true. I've been playing since '18, this has never happened. Last year we had fielding issues galore, but we didn't have this issue. Either you have a bad memory, or you're trolling?
Ive played every installment since 2006 and my memory is just fine, thanks. Hows yours? You came in at 18 right after the absolute worst launch in the history of The Show. And im guessing you missed the deleted progression issues of 18....what were you, a "i'll buy it when its $50 cheaper" consumer? And who can forget the first patch for 19 where they had to address a novels worth of issues? Obviously you. 20 was a fairly smooth release but still had its share of issues and disconnects, not on this level but again [censored] happens.

The game is a literal brick right now, they've connected everything to DD this year, meaning without servers, you can't play a single mode.

Someone didn't play '17 because that was miles worse
Kids played the last 3 apparently and tells me this has never happened before. Its happened plenty to those of us that play at launch. This is probably his first launch game and he got the others after months of patches and bug fixes.
I never said that this never has happened before. Y'all brothers infer way too much. As I said, I'm putting it into perspective. Thats crazy it's my first launch? I've been playing this game since 14 with miggy on the cover and I've preordered each one. Also, there were hundreds bugs in previous games(I never said that they didn't), but they didn't have server issues. Stay on topic smfh. We are talking about server issues, not bugs

Sadly, it’s the best iteration of the game, but completely unplayable when it matters. This might be the last time for me too. I don’t have a ton of time to play and it always seems to break when that time comes.
Very good point. When it works properly it is a very good game/franchise. Unfortunately the servers/connection issues over shadow this fact. The game is essentially not good if it can't be played.

Same. Year after year. SDS is lucky they own the license for MLB because they wouldn't last a day against the competition.

lol what? Of course they do. That's beyond common knowledge, and the reason it is on xbox this year.
MLB threatened to take exclusive licensing away if Sony didn't offer the game on other platforms. So first, you're painfully misinformed. And second, you can thank MLB for the influx of millions of additional players, crashing servers that have been stable for the last 3 years.

Also, you can still play other modes idk wtf you're talking about.
We play RTTS to earn xp for our cap, those don't report to the server when the...drum roll...servers are down. We play MTO to earn TA points for DD. Those don't report when.....drum roll...servers are down.
I think you lack a basic understanding of how much of this game requires online connectivity to work as intended, this is also why we have server issues this year. Connecting literally everything but offline franchise to DD/online has increased the packets being sent 100 fold.
