For those that have played the AL West showdown, are there certain players you're drafting every time? Are you drafting as many power hitters as possible?

Gallo, Olson, and Ohtani are must drafts. Trout is good if you get him but he really dont pop up that often

Guys like Kyle Seager, and Tom Murphy also hit well if you get your pitch.

Ohtani does well for me in both the pitching and hitting showdowns in AL West

Would you take Diamond if its an option? Or just the gold?

I usually take the gold and save the diamonds for the power hitters. I did take the diamond once (and replaced the gold with it) because I already had enough power hitters. His diamond doesn't seem that much better than his gold in showdown for me.

I just beat this one again. Other surprising hitters that worked for me included Seth Brown and Rougned Odor.

I had Verlander up to 70 pitches by the time I took the lead, so yeah, patience at the plate.

For the cheaper bronze options, Odor and Vogelbach were clutch for me

Tommy La Stella has been great for me. Michael Brantley and Carlos Correa are obvious picks. Willie Calhoun is a bronze who hits righties very well, as well as Jason Castro.

I personally like Danny Santana too.

Kris Davis, Todd Frazier and also any left that can beat the shift is helpful as well but go for power lefties and then go about the rest of your sqaud

Beat this last night, took the Diamond Ohtani and batted him first, he was great pitching and hitting for me. Totally agree about Olsen and Haniger, I didn’t get a shot at Gallo but certainly would have taken him if I had the chance. Danny Santana was also solid for me and it was nice being able to move him around since he can play every position except C (doesn’t matter for the showdowns but is nice for the missions)

Agree, Santana and La Stella were both good. I just could not bring myself to pick Correa.

Danny Santana, switch hitter with way better power than stats show that can play like 6 different positions. He legit has been my GOAT.

Meanwhile Upton has the stats but he hits as though he's using a wet noodle
