Just remember those HOF hitters typically got out 70% of the time...
Yeah because we all want to play A VIDEO GAME where we get out 70% of the time.

I've never been more frustrated after a patch the game is absolute trash right now the only thing that didnt need tweaking they tweaked
-
I haven't noticed much of a difference. I'm still winning and I'm still getting the hits I got before.

if you want arcade baseball go play slugfest or mario baseball. MLB the show has always been a sim style game having batting averages of .400+ up and down the lineup along with 5+ era's is not actual baseball. Yes mistake pitches should be crushed, yes hitting should be fun & rewarding but the same way you find 6-5 games boring I along with alot of ppl find consist 15-13 games boring because it's not baseball the sport the game is trying to simulate. There should be a medium
Actually, 15-13 games are pretty common place. All last season ( and really the last 8 season) everyone was saying how the ball was juiced. Forcing a simulation where every game is 6-5 is not baseball.
Are you watching the Japanese baseball league?, 15-13 baseball games aren't a common place in MLB, stop speaking out of your [censored]. The patch upsets noobs and casuals I get that but don't you guys rage quit on the game....learn to hit!!! get gut!!!

No, the patch pisses off top players too. Plus, what should you have to say in this argument? You don’t even hit the right way .

No, I"m not speaking out of turn. I played baseball all my life, at every level, including professional. All my career from little league, to high school, through college to the minor leagues, 2-3 run games were rare. 3-4 homeruns a game is par for the course. Video games should be fun. I've played the show since 1998 when it was just called MLB. Nerfing hitting to honor percentages at the expense of user input is stupid. I was so excited about the perfect perfect thing this year. I haven't even played yet with the new patch, but if hitting resembles anything from 2019 or 18, what are we doing?

Having Babe Ruth Mickey Mantle, Ken Griffey Jr. Chipper Jones, and Lou Gehrig in the same lineup isn't real baseball either. Get over it. Play Online rated play now if you want realistic baseball
so forget about the hof and elite pitchers just bc we have hof and elite hitter?
Ah yes... one week in and we have “elite pitchers.” My bronze and silver relievers’ 88 mph fastballs definitely should not be giving up hard hits to high golds and low diamonds.
thats on you I have a rotation of 2 diamonds and the rest golds and its the same story. If they want to keep pitch speeds at were its currently at then something else must be done. Im not saying hitting shouldnt be rewarding but it also shouldnt be this easy.
I don’t think you understand... a baseball doesn’t care who threw or who hit it. If it’s barrelled up, it should be hit hard. If my Nolan Ryan throws a meatball right down the pipe and Hunter Renfroe turns on it, it should be destroyed. If you make a bad pitch, that’s on you. RNG shouldn’t be there to save you every time.
They only narrowed the window for barreled up, perfect-perfect hits. I had swings that were a tad early or late that were getting completely blown up. It was fun but kind of ridiculous. I agree mistake pitches should get smoked, but it’s up to the batter to do it.

Exactly ... If you fail 7 outta 10 times you’re a dam good hitter in baseball ...

Okay you played actual baseball most of your life and now you just want to play it in an acrady way because its a video game? What sense does that make? You might know how to play real baseball but I guess in a video game you're just a casual or a noob? . If you've played real baseball and you use a PCI you're entire career of playing baseball is a fraud .

The best hitting team last year only averaged 5 runs a game what are you watching? Yes there’s high scoring games, yes 3-4 homeruns in a game isn’t uncommon but you forget a lot of those end up being solo shots because it’s turned to either strikeout or homerun.
