Bass- ackwards and has no resemblance to any ball I was ever a part of.Dude, it’s a video game, get over yourself. You’d be surprised how many here are in the 40+ demographic (including yours truly). Directional is so limiting, no one with decent skills uses it. The good players will hit any pitch for a HR because they can reach every single one with their PCI. Can’t turn on a heater on the wrist with directional. PCI, definitely.

I don't print in this place anymore . There was a time years ago where this forum was of quality comments and concerns and it had quite the developers input included. Now? It's over run with the " me me me" tactless society which now has reared its ugly head here and sadly stayed.
Just saw / read the factual thread and placed my Factual comments and as anticipated the slither from under the rock appeared.
This forum was great at one time. I remember during the college world series a large group of us were live filled with productive comments and play by play that was multi generational until the final pitch .
Now ? Again.. those folks are gone ( or like me , just read without printing )and the developers have to refrain from certain participating assets due to the classless and without tact responses that fill this place.I am aware of the demographic that plays this game and know quite a few in their 50s, 60s and yes a couple who have broken the 70s age bracket .
I've been around a long long time with this game and am still blessed with the opportunity to participate in each and every alpha,beta, and " tech test" they have .
Sooo, not sure why anyone would conclude I just appeared and try to tell me this or that about anything to do with this game, forum, or it's age bracket. -

Secondly, you have not made a comment yet about directional hitting that has not been belittling or demeaning to those who use it. You are building yourself up by tearing others down. Decidedly not humble.

It is all a matter of perspective and of course and neither you or they are right.
And then there are some who think DD with our super teams is for kids and online rated is where everyone should play. If this Alabam guy is who I think it is, he’s one of them. A couple years ago he’d spout off how he could hit beat any DD player with his White Sox in online rated. Blocked him then because he was irritating and can now do it again

They should also add analog hitting or stride. Tapping a button doesnt seem all that challenging. that and power swings take more movement drawing back and then forward with good timing and the pci placement.

There needs to be isolation toggles just like there are for "guess pitch", difficulty and the other choices prior to an online game search.
{I've said this for years and years now btw}I play authentic ball as in a chess match, but get matched up with a puppy who plays Chinese checkers and even has extra marbles !!
2 different games and has no business at the same table ( on the same screen ) together.
They have no foul balls and practically no base runners even....just skilless and ridiculous square button mashing home run derby's.The " fools gold " of it all is they claim to be good, sit in the leaderboards, and some how THINK they are actually playing the game.

Starting an approximate timing window and
then letting attributes and algorithms do all the work....

Cant turn on a heater inside with directional? Ya can when dont have to aim and just swing as soon as possible.....then ratings take over and hitting hrs..... when every hit is squared up and not just off the pci.. you know its.directional
Or when you are killing them up and in on 0-2 pitches then throw one down and away and they are right on it? Or a fb eye level...and hit hrs?? Not just hits...im talking hrs.
So they dont even make contact yet the time they do its a hr??? Cuz directional allows uppercut power swings and its all people do...

Thats cuz they took online franchise out...used to be able to play in zone only leagues. But this game caters to $$

I want to learn all these tricks to hitting home runs off the plate using directional. If my timing isn't perfect I just pop it up or flat out miss. Hell on higher difficulties I'll flat out miss pitches in the zone if I'm even slightly early or late.
The skill floor is higher using directional, but the ceiling is so much higher using zone. With zone I feel like I make so much more contact just reacting and swinging. When RNG is failing me on directional I switch to zone and it's easier to create big offense.

Zone hitting is the most unrealistic style of hitting in the game...yes it takes skill, I don't disagree, but zone hitters can reach balls that no directional hitter can reach, and no human being in real life could reach for tha matter...the down and in off the shoe laces hit...the 2 feet outside hit...the up and in almost hitting you in the head hit, a lot of those for homeruns....ya zone is realistic my [censored]...skill yes, realistic hell no.
