Why directional is trash for online...

As a directional offline player I struggle to hit on all star and above. If took me 3 tries to beat Baltimore on all star, lol

There needs to be isolation toggles just like there are for "guess pitch", difficulty and the other choices prior to an online game search.
{I've said this for years and years now btw}I play authentic ball as in a chess match, but get matched up with a puppy who plays Chinese checkers and even has extra marbles !!
2 different games and has no business at the same table ( on the same screen ) together.

I don't care which system anyone uses to hit (or pitch), but I won't really go for use of the word 'authentic' until they figure out pitching and batting views from the inside of the pitcher/batter skulls. Like what they're actually seeing. Maybe then we can talk about an authentic experience. Until then we've got pitching from either the outfield view or the catcher's view (!) and hitting from the catcher's view primarily...and for some,also from the umpire's view if he's standing back the mandated two metres for COVID-19.

Me personally.
Pitch = outfield
Hit = zoom.
And since this game systems ago hit the market.
Every pause is also a mound visit when pitching.
No long pause period on offense nor defense.
As authentic as the game allows and never used another team in online rated other than the Chi SoX -

There just needs to be separation between the skill sets.
Like I said , one player plays chess and the other is playing a rigged game of Chinese checkers with a extra sock full of marbles.It doesn't fit, never has, never will.

So what is more skillful
and /0r harder to do?
Place a aiming area over where the ball is - as in aiming a bat OR just pushing a button and watching and hoping.*Also is it harder to hit with a diamond souped up attribute " likeness" or with a 30-40 contact rated player? Ect ect.
One has a pci the size of the state of Nebraska and the other a vision rating of say 19 and a pci the size of a table spoon

Directional is so limiting, no one with decent skills uses it. The good players will hit any pitch for a HR because they can reach every single one with their PCI. Can’t turn on a heater on the wrist with directional. PCI, definitely.

Secondly, you have not made a comment yet about directional hitting that has not been belittling or demeaning to those who use it. You are building yourself up by tearing others down. Decidedly not humble.
By the way, there are folks over at the Operation Sports forums who will insinuate you are a child and not a true fan because you play DD and not Franchise.

I don't print in this place anymore . There was a time years ago where this forum was of quality comments and concerns and it had quite the developers input included. Now? It's over run with the " me me me" tactless society which now has reared its ugly head here and sadly stayed.
Just saw / read the factual thread and placed my Factual comments and as anticipated the slither from under the rock appeared.
This forum was great at one time. I remember during the college world series a large group of us were live filled with productive comments and play by play that was multi generational until the final pitch .
Now ? Again.. those folks are gone ( or like me , just read without printing )and the developers have to refrain from certain participating assets due to the classless and without tact responses that fill this place.I am aware of the demographic that plays this game and know quite a few in their 50s, 60s and yes a couple who have broken the 70s age bracket .
I've been around a long long time with this game and am still blessed with the opportunity to participate in each and every alpha,beta, and " tech test" they have .
Sooo, not sure why anyone would conclude I just appeared and try to tell me this or that about anything to do with this game, forum, or it's age bracket.
