I've enjoyed the game, though I do have less drive to grind and play than I did a year ago. Also, I can't for the life of me figure out how to use Pinpoint pitching.
I made the switch to pinpoint 2 days ago and I have to say it's worth it once you figure it out. I'm still not very good at it, but I'm definitely improving. Thing I like most is that if mess up and it hangs, that's acceptable because I messed up. So I'm not upset, which I would've been using analog simply because the ball doesn't go where my input said it should.

Just have to clean up the server issues and I won't have many complaints. Gameplay feels good and is very enjoyable when able to actually play.
Also the studs they added this year for legends are incredible! Cant wait for full power hank, Clemente and pedro but i love that they made early versions attainable for everyone, im having so much fun when the servers let me, cant wait to dig in for more!

The server issues are awful but I would also add in the absolute garbage state that My Ballplayer and RTTS is at the moment.

I don't really care about either My Ballplayer or RTTS, so I left that out. But if you care about those things, I understand the frustration.

I don't think your opinion is that unpopular. Game play seems solid. Good selection of cards. Rewards and XP are a little light compared to last year but no biggie. The only real issue is the problem with the servers, but that is a huge issu that does effect gameplay. I played three games last night and one this morning that did not count. Waste of a couple hours for nothing. That is not good.

If they can get the server issue sorted, this will be hands down the best gameplay since ‘17

Go to youtube and search pitching rebel, he has a very solid video on how to use it

I agree, they made great progress in critical aspects of the game.

Agreed for the the most part. Gameplay is pretty good. Many of the same structural things that I hated last year are back though. Moments for example. All of the things that made them awful last year are still there this year. A small non gameplay gripe I have is the menus or whatever they are called are not intuitive. I liked last year’s version a lot more. But so far my biggest gripe is the dumpster fire of a rollout. People paid extra to get early access then had a bunch of stubs taken from them for most of that time. And then the servers have crashed nonstop and pretty much everyone has had to redo games or moments or whatever as a result. It’s been pretty ugly.

Yeah the rollout could've been better for sure. Gameplay and mechanics matter most to me though, because these issues with the servers will get fixed at some point while mechanics are here to stay for the year.
I'm not too bothered my the moments or showdowns, I think especially the showdowns are a great way to complete TA programs. The menus were a bit weird to me in the beginning, but once I figured them out it's whatever really. You get used to it I guess.

I haven't played online yet, afraid of getting booted off. Not that it really matters what my record is, just would like to play when things are more stable. Offline DD plays great, I love things like hitters swings going with the ball, and everything feels balanced. PP pitching can be quite rewarding too.

This isnt really an unpopular opinion. Most of us seem to love the game...which is why we're pissed with all the issues. I think i speak for most when i say that we just wanna play. If we didnt enjoy the game, we would have moved on already.

Fair enough, but I've seen complaints about other areas of the game too. I just wanted to add a positive vibe to this place because the game deserves that imo.

The gameplay is good, like everyone has mentioned, just the ability to get on and actually play sucks. Lol.

I’m very cautiously optimistic. I haven’t played online much, so there’s that, but when I did, I found myself enjoying it.
Overall, I’ve been having mostly a lot of fun, so let’s hope the server situation gets worked out and the gameplay doesn’t get tweaked to death.

When my opponent lets the clock run out it pops up saying the timer has expired would you can take the win or continue to wait...But there is only one option - The X button which just adds another minute on the timer. There is no option to just take the win. It’s insane but as of right now there is no option for just taking the win. I’ve filed several tickets & heard nothing.

I agree. I'm sure they will do their normal thing and start listening to all the whiners in these forums and start screwing with stuff and make it worse. At least that's how it's been the past 2 years.

Yikes, I haven't played online yet because of the servers so I had no idea this existed. I'm sure they'll fix it though, this sounds ridiculous.
