I see the regular showdown BS is back. Players with 100 + power hitting weak warning track shots with squared up balls. Everything else is hit right at someone. And if you have a runner on you're grounding into a DP. GG SDS.. Now fix your severs lol

Yup, they made Showdown so RNG laden again this year
So infuriating with how bad the game plays during showdown. And it’s not even hard, I’ve yet to fail a showdown, it’s just the blatant RNG that is a joke in this mode

It wasn't like that a few days ago. When I first downloaded the game on pre-order I won 8 straight showdowns with ease, almost always 12-12 on the final. The first morning they did server maintenance it changed.
This morning I only needed 5 runs to win. I kid you not my lead off homered; the next 2 guys hit singles, then alverez homered. I had 15 outs to get 1 run and couldn't do it. Almost every hit was either a long fly out if a solid ground ball right at someone.
I hit one perfect and the ss dove to catch it, it bounced off his glove but the second baseman ran all the way to shortstop, completely ignoring the bag he was supposed to cover, and threw the runner out at first.
Then you get the better luck next time. So many people had an easy run to get Jackie. Stubs sales were probably suffering because people had an entire team of 42s with ease

I'm sorry you've had that experience, but that is the opposite of mine. I haven't lost a showdown yet this year, and I've played a ton of it.
To avoid double plays, don't swing at low stuff with less than 2 strikes, and don't chase breaking balls out of the zone or in the dirt. Really look for something up.
The rest, is just bad luck I suppose.

I have not played showdown yet, but I heard a few people say the computer will not try to throw you out stealing bases until you have 8 out left. If that is true you can steal 2nd to stay out double plays until you hit 8 outs.

That's good you got your vouchers every time. The worst I've had is beating the final showdown and then afterwards I get the server error message and then it counts it as a loss. Even though I played and won. I also beat a showdown yesterday and exchanged my vouchers, but then when I went on later last night to play I was back at 61% which is where I was before I won the previous showdown. It's like the fact that I won and exchanged the vouchers never happened.

Yea i just tried both the 1st inning and the TA showdown....same old [censored]. Good timing/contact, weak bounce to short or fly out directly at the outfielder. I'm trying to grind TA but since the Conquest is a one time only thing and MTO is a waste of time right now, it looks like i'll be grinding innings in 9 inning games all week for 5 points.
So stupid.

What difficulty is the 1st inning showdown on? I haven’t done any this year because I was getting kicked off when I tried to play. Seems a little better today.

I played the beginner showdown twice and can't make it past Bauer. Completed the 1st inning showdown my first attempt. Go figure. Total RNG.

Yeah the moments in showdown have definitely changed. They are like the regular moments moments. I did the moment outside Babe Ruth homer and was like wtf why can’t he homer. Didn’t choose his 42 card. Finally cleared it.
Picked up his 42 card and he is banging homers in conquest left and right.
There definitely is some sort of SDS shenanigans in showdown.
