Inconsistent hitting is back with update 1.04

Hitting was not all homers before the patch. I had a hard time hitting homers before the patch and since the patch. I don't know who they are aiming this all at. But it's broken. Hitting was better last year. It just needed some tweaks. It's much harder and I've been practicing. Monitors or tvs aside.

Stop listening to cry babies that didn’t want to learn how to hit. Game was perfect in terms of hitting. If anything they should have patched more strike calls on boarder pitches, that would have helped even out hitting. Instead make a new patch that just ruined hitting. And I know some hero gonna get on here and say “dude hitting so easy do this do that” idc I’m a very solid player and it’s an opinion.
A couple days ago hitting was totally broken. Everything was a home run. Game was playing ridiculously
Everything that was perfect perfect liner and fly ball was a homer yea. And with power hitters good good and squared up balls. But not everything.

I more just get annoyed that the second you get confortable hitting and start being consistent they change everything so that the guys on twitch who dictate the game complain about stupid stuff and they drop everything to fix it for them. If you don’t listen to me at all SDS I wouldn’t care but please just add a patch that adds more strike calls. I’ll always Be a good hitter but u need to help pitching out cause anything in the zone gets roped as it should. But it allows ppl to just sit sit sit and never have to like react to a 2 strike count on a ball close

I've always wondered why the strike zone was made where you have to have at least half the baseball cross the corner to be a strike. The default should be that if the ball clips the corner at all it's a strike. You know? Like real life. Also an increase in pitch speed would have solved the home run problem! They blame the hitting although it was the best it's ever been. Pitching was the culprit

Umps miss calls and have their own strike zones in real life ... also there is a setting you change that turns off umps missing calls and you’ll have everything in the zone called a strike ... personally I like the realistic dynamic

Well considering the MLB will be going to robot umps soon. Also u can’t use that setting in competitive play and that’s what we are taking about.

This is why I said the default. As in the strike zone without the umpires different zones will not be called a strike unless half the ball is on the corner. Should only need to touch it period

I thought there were way too many home runs just my opinion but I also would have looked to tweak pitching first. I’ve been dominant most years at pitching and locating where I want bu this year I felt so many just floated right in heart of plate even if I did the meter perfect. Going to have to check out new patches right now

They didn't fix issues with pitching last yr I doubt they do anything significant to make it better in 20.
Maybe they will call it a new feature on PS5 if it get fixed by then. -
I just don't understand how pitching just randomly broke. I don't remember it ever being an issue until '19. A perfect meter pitch should go exactly when you placed it... not drift over half the plate. Also hope to God they don't make the hitting into a line drive fest like last year. I was enjoying this years game. Will have to see how the patch plays after work.

Exactly, like who are these people that can hit? They sit at monitors and it isnt fair
I play on a TV and I’ve had no problems before the update.
