Redeemed PS5 digital code, but PS4 version installed

I just spent over an hour uninstalling the game, and following instructions from a Sony agent over chat. I’m beyond pissed of with this scenario.

Are there even admins in here that monitor these type of issues?

I've spent 8 days now trying to get this fixed. I have multiple tickets opened, spent time in countless chats, and have spoken to reps. Nobody knows what is happening, or why this doesn't work. SDS has not said anything or acknowledged any kind of issue. You are in the same boat as me - we spent $100 for a broken PS4 game. Don't worry - you will get $10-20 of free in-game currency out of it for the servers, but probably will never see a PS5 version unless you shell out another $70. They took the money and ran.

If you haven't tried it yet, next to the Play Now button on the PS5 main screen are three dots. Click on those. The third line down should say PS5 Full. If you did the thech test, that will be on the same line.
I accidentally installed the tech test version first and then had to go back and install the Full version.

I was having the same issue... Spoke to Sony, SDS, Sent countless emails to SDS only to get the same stupid response.... I returned the game to Gamestop and got a full refund for it being defective and bought the digital copy.

Because I check it out right now and it showed the ps5 version but as soon as I click download it switch to the tech test version

I redeemed the code.
I installed the PS4 version from the disc (and left the disc in he console)
I (accidentally) installed the test tech version
I installed PS5 Full version
I uninstalled the test tech version
I uninstalled the PS4 version -
There are countless people that have ran into this issue including myself. Both SDS and Sony were not willing to help and completely turned a blind eye to the situation. They definitely lost my future business. I bought the physical edition of the Jackie Robinson edition, never got my ps5 entitlement, than went and spent another $85 for the digital ps5 version just so I could play early like I intended too. I used 2 days of PTO at work for this and got the big ole stiffy up the [censored] from SDS and Sony

GameStop wouldn’t let me return the game :(. So either wait or buy another copy.

So I'm currently out 120K in stubs from the cancel buy order bug and on top of that, I'm having the same issue with not receiving the PS5 version on the download....not great folks not great

Probably the only way is for th to delete or get rid of the beta

I called tech support a few days ago and asked them to delete the test tech from my account permanently. They are unable to do that for me. Still no PS5…

I did exactly the same and they told me the beta wasn't the problem but I think it is

Ok guys now I am able to install the PS5 version, what I did was, I delete the game and insert the disc (don't copy the disc) on your right side there's the free PS5 version, click on that and it won't give you the option to download it until you eject the disc and insert it again.
Try that... it worked for me

It was magically there for me just now. Didn’t have to do anything. 13 [censored] days later and not a word of acknowledgment from these [censored]!

Same here. 13 days later and boom... all a sudden... i get a PS5 upgrade. Without telling a word to anyone.
