Is there a community manager for the forums?
-
Been reading post through out most of the forums and have not seen a reply to a post from a community manager. They should be here to communicate with us and relay information to the team. Hell they could even make a post about the workarounds for the rtts development of ballplayer and pin it to main page of rtts section so people will see it to many post about this problem. If there is a community manager please connect with the community talk to us it might even take some heat off thw devs and some frustrations from the community even might simmer down. I think most of community would like some feedback and make it known they are not being ignored. If there is not a community manager I will step up SDS hit me up.

At the top of the forum page is a tab for Dev Tracker, that will show you all the posts made by SDS employees.

Basic PR 101. It doesn’t seem like they have a crisis comms plan at all and Ramone has only been retweeting posts from The Show on Twitter rather that being out here actually communicating with the community. It shouldn’t be the devs’ job to communicate...it’s literally why communications exists as a profession. I would be surprised if they have a dedicated community management team. SDS...you hiring?

I would think that a PR strategy for situations like this would be that if you know your consumer base will not like the answer to an issue you have to give, it might be better to just say nothing at all.

I accidentally double posted.

Unrelated, this guy gets it. Don't leave a double or triple post hanging out there. You too, can load dishes into the dishwasher, and not just leave the sink full.

As a PR professional, silence only breeds more distrust and skepticism for when a message does finally come out. There are ways to put out a message that is honest and direct about what is happening and what steps are being taken to address legitimate concerns. Not all “problems” raised are actually bugs or issues with the game, some are by design (RTTS being married to DD now for example). But being completely silent is never advised.

RTTS has been broken and unable to progress and the only response we have gotten was a blog post a week ago saying that they will fix it at some point in the future. I can't believe that a week after release is not enough time to fix, but at least let us know what is happening and when we can expect a fix.

Ramone is a Poser, messaged him multiple times on his Twitter page and nothing but Crickets and on here I’ve gotten a few reply’s from CoLLin but very sporadically I would say out of the 30 posts I’ve left only got 2 reply’s..and he even said if it’s a question he can’t answer he won’t answer it at all...those were his exact words LoL

You are not the sharpest tool in shed, are you?

There are 2 or 3 SDS employees who post more than others, but I don't know if they are official community managers. They may have other responsibilities that take precedent.
Should they have one? Probably.
-
And your not the brightest bulb out of the bunch That’s what he said Lame they’re not gona answer every question and post that they can’t give a definitive answer to Troll

As a program manager IRL, I always try to be honest with people regardless as to whether I'm throwing myself or others under the bus. The end user is always happier when they know there's an issue, even if there's no immediate resolution. At that point, they are more confident that we're trying our best to get the issue resolved.

Yes we would like a response better than not saying anything at all at least acknowledge the people who made you millions of dollars
