I’ve gone through one whole year of double A and led my team in RBI’s, doubles, triples, AVG, OBP, and SB’s. I’m a Left fielder and in the angels originization. I can’t seem to get past a 63 overall and the progression is extremely slow. I like that’s it realistic but not even a call up to triple A? I’m the second best LF behind Justin Upton who is a 77 in the MLB. That is what doesn’t make sense to me and it is very very frustrating

63 overall is actually really high for AA. I think I made it to AAA in about 3/4 of the first AA season at about 56. I have over a season in AAA and I am only 62. In AA I was a RF who hit about .460 though.

Upton shouldn't hurt your progress until you get to AAA, so that isn't the reason you aren't in AAA. He will hurt your promotion to the majors though, but by that time you should be traded.

Check who is playing your position at AAA. If the organization has nobody good, they will often have a person play there as a secondary position. So for example last year when I was a 2B the best person in the majors was 74 and the next highest minor leaguer was 60. The team had their 70 overall backup SS play at 2B so instead of being above 60 to get called up, I had to beat 70.

Or it could be a Vlad Jr/Kris Bryant situation where they're intentionally keeping you down in the minors in order to stunt your service time clock.

"If it's in the game, it's in the game!"

I don’t think these teams are programmed to be that realistic lol.

What level Archetype are you on? The loadout program missions are pretty fast, and you should be at least a gold by now! See this video for the programs. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AXS4oTTsr50

Seeing that you're on XBox - not sure if you've played previous versions of this game. Word of warning for you - roster moves by the AI have always been a bit perplexing in RTTS. Sometimes, you get the situation like you are in - the slow call up. Believe it or not, worse than this is the fast call up - where you find yourself in the MLB with a 63 OVR and you literally ride the pine. Maybe you get a game per week. Maybe a couple ABs as a PH. Good luck trying to progress in that situation.

Appreciate the feedback y’all. I watched a tutorial on how to finally fix the bug of getting your archetype better. But it’s still ridiculous how slow it is. But appreciate it
