Diving Catches

Are these even possible? It seems like attempting a diving catch in the outfield is not even an option this year. It's also highly unlikely for infielders as well.
Is it just me, or are others experiencing the same thing? Definitely something SDS should look into for the Show 20, in my opinion.

Funny i was just thinking something similar the other day. Dives 100% work in the infield. However in the OF it seems that once a dude is locked into the ball diving doesn’t matter

In the outfield, I’m afraid that if I try a dive, it will interfere with one of those warping animations I love so well. I’ve had a little more success in the infield, but I think I’ve cancelled out a beneficial animation a couple times by diving.

Dude in CPU GAMES bronze fields are making diving catches in the outfield like crazy. Such a scam

I think it also depends on how you play the outfield I dont play where you have to get the bar in the green. I have seen it actually work to my advantage playing in fenway. My opponent dove and it would have been a easy catch without the dive but it hit the end of the glove and went into the stands for a home run. I rarely make errors but also play with high defensive players
