I hope we see a fix ... unfortunately, I made the assumption this was all working and tried it without doing research. Lesson learned!
I see my inventory on the show account on web site, so that's a good sign ... I will play RTTS for now until fix is in.
Everything was going so smoothly ... I just wanted extra convenience of playing on xcloud (at least testing for a month in trial for $1).

Many of you say you can view your inventory on theshownation.com just not in game (PS, XBOX).

Is this the case for all of you? My lost pre-order content doesn't appear on the system (Xbox) or on theshownation. However when I look at my "Order History" on the Microsoft Store, I see my Jackie Robinson Bundle voucher. But in game all this disappeared as of last Saturday.

Mine doesn't show up on theshownation if I'm logged in with my PSN or XBOX account. It only shows when I'm logged in with my The Show account...if that makes sense.

I see my stuff on the website (logged in with my Show account) - but I pre-ordered on the PS5, and was playing there before Tuesday. On Tuesday, when I added the game on XBox via GamePass and tried to link my Xbox account, that's when all my troubles started.

    The FAQ Says:
IF YOU CHOOSE MLBWEB, YOUR PROGRESS WILL START AT ZERO, EVEN IF YOU HAVE A PLATFORM WITH PROGRESS.

    • This is because your MLBWEB account is new and has no progress. If you’d like to keep progress that is already made on a specific platform (PS or Xbox), please choose said platform.

Except -- my MLBWEB account isn't new, and HAS progress. Which makes me think if I choose that, it could possibly restore my data. But I don't want to take that chance.

Do it! Do it! Do it!!!! Yeah, I've been scared to hit that button too. I feel like the end is near (in a good way), so hopefully it'll be fixed.

This is exactly my thought as well. It doesn't matter though, it just gives you another error.

Can't stress this enough. I returned my Xbox copy over this horrid experience, but I still have my Xbox linked. When I linked all three I too saw zip logging back in. Just log into theshow.com. Then Unlink the platform you are primarily playing on. Then go into that console. Link again from the console. Should prompt you to go to a address, and then use the link code. When it prompts you LOOK AT WHICH ONE IS THE PRIMARY YOUR ARE NOW LINKING (Its will show a icon for the PC Theshow.com and then another for the console you just used. CHOOSE YOUR CONSOLE ONE.

I did that, and everything was back. For the record, my son is still playing. I still think I should have returned both. I would rather go back to MLB 20.

When I attempt to link with the console one - haven't tried with the Web one - I get an error about "Platform Exclusivity" and nothing happens.

I double checked with my son. When I did that he had already unlinked the day before. Try after the server is down this morning.

I hope that works. If it does you should see a different link code on that console.

I think the “server exclusivity” error is happening because the PSN and Xbox accounts are still linked to each other.

I haven’t been able to find an option to unlink those accounts.

If you unlink the account you get your progress. What they should be more clear about is that Whalen you link accounts, you more or less make a new account, and that's why the progress is wiped

I think it has to do with the order in which you do things, right? I could be wrong, but I think if you create an MLB The Show account and then link a console account, The Show account is dominant and shows no progress. If you create an MLB The Show account, then log out and log back into your console account and link The Show account from there, then the console account is dominant and your progress remains. I think that's what I did when setting up mine and it all worked out fine. I have not tried linking my Xbox account yet though. I think I'll wait until the servers aren't actively on fire.

You are correct. I learned the hard way that there is an order of operations to go with. In my case, this year I am playing on Xbox, so I should have created a Show account and first paired it with my PS account and then after added my Xbox account. At that point I pick using XBox as my primary going forward.

I didn't do that and it showed I had lost everything, but all I had to do was change the primary account on the website to Xbox and all of my progress on Xbox showed again. I lost 30 minutes or so figuring it out, but at least I didn't have to start over.

I haven’t been able to find an option to unlink those accounts.

I just logged on using my PSN and Xbox accounts, and yep, those still show as connected. And, no way to unlink them.

I really want to play, but I don't want to advance anything in the "broken" state and have it wiped out if/when they are able to recover my previous progress.

Although it would be very irritating, I wouldn't have a serious issue with starting over progress/mission-wise IF I could get my pre-order bonuses back AND the stubs that I purchased on PSN. Of course, I'd much rather pick up from where I left off before Tuesday.

Getting similar results here and I believe I'm in the exact situation as @bhazlewood_PSN

    1. I can now login to my Show account on the web and I can see "Connected" for show account, not for Xbox or PSN
    • All of my progress made on PS5 shows on my Show account, NOT on PSN account
    • Any attempt to log out and log in w/ console to link that way does not work just like others ("platform exclusivity" error)
    • Agree that if someone could unlink our console accounts from each other, it would result in a fix or at least let us start the linking process over
    • I still have my RTTS equipment available in game on PS5, so that's a good sign (have not checked Xbox GP)

I’ve been waiting on any form of response on my ticket since early Tuesday morning. So, depending on when you submitted, it could be a while sadly.

Hello all - I got a response to my ticket today. I responded that none of the steps they want me to try work and I shared the link to this thread in attempt to help. I asked if they could manually unlink my Xbox account on their end as that might fix the problem. What I can say is that I played some RTTS today on PS5 and that progress carried over to my Xbox (stubs and everything). I hope I didn't remove the opportunity for this to be fully fixed though. I don't care about 3000 stubs or any RTTS progress really. Want DD back for dailies and sweet, sweet cards. This all happened right after I juiced up Giambi to Platinum too 😞

My progress is carrying over from PSN to XBOX as well but only after everything has been wiped out. I have 3 stubs and a fricken 63 rated pitcher in my collection.

FIX THIS ALREADY SDS! Or tell us it can't be fixed and refund our money!!
