Well I am useless at it but when I use meter everything goes for a hit or otp yet despite not being consistent at locating pitches it's working better for me results wise.

I tried it out and my control looked like Ricky Vaughn. Quickly went back to Analog. What I will say so far with analog though is the pitch goes exactly where you would expect it to go based on input, which is a welcome change from last year.

I'd like to see the top YT creators use it.
I only used it for the trophy. I thought I'd like it, but back to Meter for me. Not worth practicing for hours tbh.

So, how are people feeling after a few days. Do you like pinpoint pitching? How's it going for those that use it? Have you gotten used to it?

I didn't think I would like it, but after spending some time with it, it has really paid off. I feel like I have way more control. I had to get used to holding the stick at the top of my motion before bringing it down to complete the pitch, but I am slowly starting to get more blue lines (and less yellow). Some YT vids helped me figure it out as well.

I am using a PS4 if that makes a difference - as I understand there is a difference between the controllers. The biggest takeaway for me was making sure I did my best to 'push' the stick to the outside when completing the circular motion. Even if I stop past the top point and am not in the circle (within reason), I am still able to achieve 100% accuracy...most of the time. Obviously YMMV depending on the difficulty level. I am on All-Star, so it's definitely more forgiving than some of the higher levels.

I 100% agree! Coming from a guy who has always used meter pitching, I was very skeptical about the new pinpoint pitching at first. In fact, I’d go as far to say that I didn’t care for it at all. However, I took the time to really practice with it, and while my first couple of games I was getting crushed, I really started to pick it up and make some really great pitches. I’m at the point now where I love it and will never go back to meter pitching. I feel I have much more control over the outcome of my pitches, and it’s really rewarding to pull off perfect pitches. For those who are struggling with it right now or unsure about it, I’d recommend sticking with it and practicing. You may find that you end up loving it like me. Obviously I know that won’t be the case for everyone, but I think it’s at least worth trying before you quickly dismiss it. Good luck everyone and have fun!

I've noticed opposing hitters don't seem to nail a pinpoint pitch out over the plate as much as they do on other modes.

I'm not very hand-eye coordinated, but I find the pinpoint more fun than the other modes. But I probably can't play more than a game or two with it before my hand gets sore.

By the way, don't be too proud to dial back your pitching level while you're learning. Heck, I went all the way back to Beginner for my first game.

Its great to use on Ps5! Took some time to get used to it. But if I start struggling badly,, I switch to Meter.

Not so much fun Xbox Series S. Something is laggy here.

Always been a meter pitcher. Slightly dabbled with analog last couple of years. Tried pinpoint from the jump this version and I just love it. It was weird at first but once you get the hang of it....ooh boy. I have probably had more pitches go where I actually wanted them to, so far since launch then I have the last 3 versions combined. Don't get me wrong, it doesn't mean you're invincible, but it sure beats the heck out of meter for sure. I hope they don't change a thing.

Am totally loving pinpoint. No issues with PS5, after a few hours of playing can nearly get perfect evrytime time and maybe it's in my head but seem to get more k's.

I hate using analog sticks for anything other than player movement in any game especially sports games. It's probably me being to impatient and just want to get on with throwing the pitch but I can't be bothered with it. I will say it's definitely the way to go however unlike last year analog pitching has been pretty good for me pitches go where you want them. Meter is now garbage however i'm not even on HoF yet i'm sure pinpoint will completely out do those 2 other methods if you can be bothered to use it.

KevinGohd uses it and pretty good at it actually. I’m not a content creator at all but I use it pretty effectively. Once someone masters it, I think it’s going to be OP

It’s too much. It should have just been motion accuracy and timing. How fast you do the motion is a dumb thing to add into it.

The first motion is extremely forgiving. Its the timing down to the bottom circle that’s very important

I wish we didn't have to draw the pattern at a certain speed. If they slowed that down (not sure how especially in the stretch) I would probably use it. I want to use it but I have had good success with pure analog.

I retract my previous statements. I was simply making observations without even owning the game. I picked up the game yesterday and I love pinpoint pitching. It's tough but it's very realistic and rewarding. timing and pace are indeed way more important than accuracy.

Same, except I skipped Analog completely...never liked it. Pinpoint pitching might be the best addition they've ever made to this game. I like having my pitches go where intended unless I really screw something up.

I tired it for a game and It seems like too many moving parts to deal with unless it’s mandated. I will admit I didn’t fully understand what was going on lol. Maybe they should run an event with that locked as the pitching to force everybody to try it and it could be real popular.

I’m surprised how many people use meter on this thread.

So does this mean stats don't matter if I use pinpoint? I like to play simulation and have the stats matter somewhat, but still have some control.
