Yeah I know they drop some dough on those because they can use them as write offs for business expenses taxes but I’ve heard through the grapevine that they get better cards more than the avg player because ppl watching them see them open up great cards and they buy packs and stubs from the store. So all in all, it’s a great business model and that story could be entirely false idk lol

The grapevine is wrong. Their pull rates are just as abysmal as everyone elses. They're just opening 500 instead of 50 and editing out all the boring results.

You and me both. So far the best I've had was a Marcus Semion. Seeing that I could care less about the LS series this year watch it be a Trout lol.

Best pull is Freddie Freeman so far but no complaints as I haven’t opened more than 100 and have 2 diamonds (other being Darvish)

So far the only thing ive opened is a DJ LeMaheiu in my very first pack this year
I've gotten 2-3 other diamonds but they all been in the 'consumable' spot which i always find SUPER disheartening and feels like a kick in the teeth rather then actually getting something of value

I usually have terrible luck but I bought a 50 pack today and through the first twenty packs it was worse than usual but then out of the last thirty I got sale and freeman which I was pretty happy with but then got trout.

Nothing so far. I bought the base version (all the other ones sold out) so I'm going real nms for my grind this year. Gonna be a tough road.

Pulled LS Judge on a pack from a program reward. Thought maybe they were juicing packs because of the server issues and bought a gold topper... Nothing special in there.

Pulled Tatis Jr, only diamond of the year so far. I opened up a ton of packs too, none that I purchased though lol.

So this is the first time I buy this game. Out of the first 10 packs you get a got a Bauer Diamond. I am just lost in what to do. Keep him and build a team through grinding? I dont want to spend more money on the game, but is it possible to grind a good team?

I only open packs I earn, so I haven't opened many. I did pull Soto out of a gold pack yesterday or the day before. I was shocked since I didn't think that was possible. I sold Soto for 60k+ before his price dropped and used the stubs to get Wander Franco. Then I pulled Machado out of a regular pack today. I may keep Machado for now since he isn't selling for much for an 88.

Zero luck over the pre-access weekend. Then after the first few days of server issues I got Mike Piazza as the 1st inning boss reward, and decided I wasn't bothered about keeping that card, so sold it for 70K stubs and bought packs (figured I was essentially at zero already so nothing to lose). Pulled Trout, Kershaw, Strasburg and Bellinger all in that bunch. Had a server error as I was pulling Trout so that was kind of tense.
