Just got off the phone with my brother who preordered the $100.00 Version of The Show 21. He tells me if you change your sliders at all you gain no XP for playing. Thank you for making this change you just saved me money. Now I don't have to buy the game. This is suppose to be something fun to take me away from my problems. Some will argue that it needs to be real. Well if you want real go try out for a real MLB team. This is suppose to be fun and with this change its not. I will not be buying this version of The Show or any other till this is changed. You make the game. I pay $60.00 for it I should be able to play however I want and still get XP.

So you are mad because you can't cheat your way to online rewards easier, you can still put the difficulty all the way down to beginner and get xp

Does this count even if you move them back to normal?

I am trying to post this in as many places where it makes sense so hopefully it gets seen by the developers but I agree that it is completely unfair to take away XP for changing sliders. Especially when you are someone like myself and others who are actually making the game more difficult / realistic. I always increase the pitch speed ever year and lower the the contact and power from the base Hall Of Fame levels ( it makes a really realistic stat line for me ). This I get no stubs pr progress to my game because of that which is frustrating. IMO there should be a multiplier system like some other games have. Where if you lower the difficulty you get far less XP but if you raise it, it will increase incrementally based on what you change or even just stay the same. But to get none is really unfair IMO.

I personally dont play DD so the progression for that means nothing to me. I just want to be able to earn stubs and XP to buy / unlock equipment for my RTTS player and sponsorships for my Franchise.

It's not cheating if they let you do it.

The idea behind that so people couldn't progress faster in the XP reward path. Sorry you feel this way but it is fair for everybody. You can still play for fun just won't get XP.

If fun is all you are after then what difference does it make if not getting XP? Or you mad b/c they stopped an exploit from last year when people were prestige level 100 in week 2?

RTTS needs to be adequately firewalled from the other competitive parts of the game so that an RTTS player can do what he wants ... IN RTTS. I only play RTTS, and since I'm an old fart, I turn down pitch speed so I can actually hit, since my reflexes suck. Unfortunately, that's a non-starter now, because of the Ballplayer tie-in which forces slider defaults for fairness purposes. I get that, but as an RTTS only player, I'm basically done here.

I'm going back to 20 for now, and I'll watch and hope for slIder changes that might let me come back to 2021.

SDS should offer people an option to cut ties with DD, to play in offline mode completely.

Xp means nothing for non DD players. So changing sliders should make no difference to you.

If you only play RTTS you don't need XP. There is no account level to gain XP towards. So you want XP to sell the DD rewards? Is that it?

Sliders can help make things MORE real,... pitchers don’t throw over every single time a player takes a lead off first, however with normal sliders they pretty much do. This is another in a long line of things they changed or took out that just kills RTTS

Why mess with sliders? Just set it for arcade mode and have at it. It's exactly what you are looking for, and you still gain xp.

Does XP actually get you anything in RTTS? Does it unlock gear or perks? Will enabling sliders stop your player progression completely?

That's not true at all. I'm not sure why people don't understand that. XP gives you access to equipment, sponsors, perks and archetype cards for your ballplayer. They way they structured rtts this time, those items are imperative to be successful. Especially since every Stat is capped at 50. Yes they have program missions, but those aren't tracking properly and only give you very little progress. So we are dependent on xp giving us the things we need to advance. It isn't like the older versions at all. The sliders I want to change don't make it easier. It just makes it more realistic. Some of the sliders have no impact to easy or hard either. Like pick off attempts. I have no control over what the idiot on 1st or the pitcher do. He threw to 1st 10 times in a row once, and the guy wasn't even trying to steal and was super slow.

You can get those items in RTTS without worrying about XP. Your missions award points based on stats. Those points are what advances you down the Archetype progression path to the new archetype cards. No XP is used.

Now, you can earn extra packs and chances to get perks and equipment in the DD program path as well as the Archetype path but it is not required.

Apparently you don't know what "baseball simulation" means. This game was always meant to mirror a realistic experience. What you're looking for is an arcade style baseball game and there are plenty of those out there. Go play those. Bye Felicia. ✌

I am well aware of what they are. I remember when there were no computers. I will play what I want. As a Gulf War vet I've earned that right.

You're right, pumpkin... you CAN play whatever you want. But don't be dunce. Basically what you're saying is like going to the store to buy an orange, but you buy an apple instead. Then when you bite into the apple you get pissed that it doesn't taste like an orange. Smfh.

This is flawed. The only slider i changed was to slow down the dynamic level change. This means i essentially play the hardest level i can the longest amount of time before it may drop. Why would i lose xp for changing that one setting? Doesnt make sense to me

I disagree with your post. Especially for single player mode, simply turning off trades. I'm a Mers fan. You know the 1st trade my game made? Trading Francisco Lindor for Justin Turner. How in ANY universe is that real? Just ridiculous, and your response shows a complete lack of insight on what player's want. Real, give me a break.
