Felt like fewer hidden packs in this years map. I finished it but didn’t keep track. But getting the 6 prospects probably more then offsets the more modest hidden packs in the map this year. But now that I’ve been doing the Affinity Showdown stuff, I’m seeing I should have been doing this the whole time. Seems like a more efficient path to earn stuff.

I actually prefer to be surprised as I play through a map. Knowing in advance what's there ruins a good bit of the fun. So far it seems like they're pretty stingy with the rewards overall. Hopefully they step up their game as the year goes on lol.

I was actually wondering which was more benificial to start first, the USA map or do the individual affinity conquests first. So you say affinities?

The USA map usually nets around 40 or so total packs of various kinds. But they seemed to nerf that stuff big time this year. At least on the other conquest maps and showdowns. So wouldnt be surprised if there were only like 20 or something.

I finished USA map yesterday and there were much less hidden rewards then last year... I would say there is about 10-12 standard packs, 2 silver player packs and 1 Balling is a habit pack. Pretty bad compared to last years

That's horrific. I haven't done a USA map since '18.
Could it be to not give early access players that much before launch day users get a sniff? -
You get more Ballin packs in the affinity maps. Pulled Tatis in one of them. Do those first.

They're not gonna fill it to the brim like Shark Map on Opening Day.
You start slow, THEN you start stuffing the map with goodies.

I understand people want more packs, but the rewards are MUCH better than past years. With packs you'll get 28 bronze cards, a silver, and one lucky winner will get an 85 LS card out of a ballin pack.
This year you get 4 gold prospects guaranteed (which will go towards collections), and an 89 Pujols that can be prestiged up to a 94. On launch day. That's a big deal.

Yeah I felt like there were way less pack rewards on these conquest maps. It’s early though will see how it plays out!

This guy is spot on. I think it’s clear there are fewer hidden goodies, but the gold prospects helped offset that a lot. I sold all of mine early and got some good prices. They are worth a little less now, but are still probably better than a bunch of crappy packs.

If people are smart, they'll keep them until the big collection reward drops. No one's going to play that entire map, they'll go to the market and drop cash instead.
