I don’t mind that they cost stubs,but the fact that you can’t acquire these cards anywhere else,and that they are all 32,000 + is a lot of [censored] stubs. The [censored] program will be over before you grind the stubs to buy those cards to complete it. Smh

The first inning collection has always been pre-order diamonds.. in 19, and 20... @just-o-_psn is right.. nothing new.

What point. The inning collections have been the same all 3 years they have been out. 1st inning is preorder cards, 2nd inning on will be the 3 bosses from the previous inning. It's always been that way. In the later innings they will give you collection to collect a certain series of cards (2nd inning will likely be rookie cards). Just seems strange to complain about a feature that has been the same for 3 years

I thought you could collect the through team affinity?
The 8 42 cards they want are only the ones you choose from pre order. I didn’t see any slots for the 42 affinity guys in that collection

In 19 and 20, the Diamond preorder packs ended up being EVERYWHERE (later season Inning rewards, Conquest, etc. I think they even ended up giving one out as a Twitch drop.)

Right now this is the case. I think we are only on day 4 though, so let's hope they keep their word and the newer content in the next few days opens up more opportunities.

As others have pointed out....the collections are nothing new. Buying stubs is 100% optional and the first inning is always about the pre-order items that are buyable on the market. There are plenty of ways to get stubs in-game...its up to you if its worth doing the collections (you can always do them after the inning ends when prices go down if that's your choice -- assuming its the same as previous years).
Inning 2 collection is going to be all 3 inning 1 bosses so you're going to have the same complaint next month.

The “42” cards will likely go down in price when the game goes live for everyone. I was paying 16k for them shortly after it went live for preorders. People sold them early on to make some quick stubs. Then people started buying them for collections and to fill spots on teams. There wasn’t as much supply after day 1 so they crept up.

They will go up. You only get them through preorders. There wonky be any new supply added

I thought the packs were available along the at in the inning last year. I can’t remember..but I’m assuming there will be more ways and these will be quick sell value within a month

As of now. My statement is true. I don't see them giving out more packs until the 2nd inning. Anyone just getting the game tonight does not have the packs. No more supply is added until SDS puts the packs elsewhere

Exactly what I was thinking... I am a little uninterested in what has been provided mostly this year
I am NMS and I have all the 42 Legends, deGrom, Bellinger, and Arenado. I haven't pulled any diamonds from Show packs either.

People here talking like flipping is fun. If it’s your thing fine, but most people don’t want to play a Wall Street simulator. There’s just so many hours in a day to play

I honestly throw on some orders and play a game of Conquest. Then I deal with the completed transactions. I try to keep it to 3 or 4 orders. You can sort the market pretty easily to find the card you are working on.

There are 10 Legends in the 42 series that only come from the preorder packs. Each MLB team has a player. You get 2 cards as collection rewards, which brings the total cards you need for 99 Jackie to 42.

Pretty much the most market work I’ll do myself. List/QS multiples I draw and play the long game.
