Hi guys. In last feature premiere they said that all the final players from 1st inning program are very much accessible to all players just through playing the game. So I done some math on if that is really true. And you know? It is not. Here is comparison with MLB 20

MLB 20 1st Inning bosses were at 300 stars, and rewards for activities were as follows (sorry I dont remember other rewars for collections and other stuff, but you get the idea):
Showdown - 70 stars (23% of total progress)
Conquest - 30 stars (10% of total progress)
Missions - 15 stars each (5% of total progress each)

MLB 21, players are at 650 000 XP:
    Showdown - non-existing (0% of total progress)
    Conquest - 15 000 XP (2% of total progress)
    Missions - 5 000 - 7 000 XP (0,7% - 1% of total progress)
    Moments - 1 000 - 4 000 XP (0,1% - 0,6% of total progress)

I also watched youtube video by GomesDaLegend showing best way to grind XP in game (basically pitching in exhibition with 99 pitcher againts 0 rated players). It is just mindlessly pressing one button and according to him, you can earn 20 000 XP per hour. That means you would read 650 000 XP in 32,5 hours of doing that. And no, I don't want to press one button for 32,5 hours so my XP gain would be minimally twice that slow (maybe more) so that would mean something around 60 - 80 hours. You have 20 days to complete 1st inning program, that means 3 - 4 hours daily. Do you still belive it is very much accessible for all players to reach 650 000 XP? I have family, I have work and I think this is really ridiculous. Is MLB The Show really becoming new 2K?

Showdown in being added when the game launches to everyone else. There will likely be player programs etc again

If you look at the main screen showdown and player programs are on the way over the coming week so your statements of being non existent is not accurate.

It's clear the program will be done over time and with XP if you are regularly playing the game you will earn XP and progress further.

I personally prefer this method and how it work, I watch Gomes and like his content but thos videos of the quickest methods are so dumb and normally the developers see them and nix them pretty quick

I was put off by the time limit as well.
I used Gomes method last year. I think with this new 'limited time' [censored] I'll be doing this XP method before they nerf the XP the way they did HRD last season.
I work as well. This new thing isn't worker friendly

Yeah I couldn't figure out how people already have a Boss on Day one. XP mainly coming from playing the game. (100-400 per half an inning). Somethings gotta be coming on Tuesday that provides more XP gaining. I got about 2000 from my first RTTS Pitching appearance where I went 7 innings and struck out 11.

I definitely think it is too soon to tell. I am willing to see how it goes the first inning.

Also the bosses for the first inning are at 350,000. Everything between 350,000 and 650,000 are just added bonuses.

The last 2 years there has been a time limit on the inning programs. This is not something new so I'm not sure what the turn off

Wait, there's no Showdown for the 1st Inning yet? Why are they waiting to add that?

Also, don't be to happy about the way Homes is getting XP. Pretty soon they'll patch that. Just like they did with HRD last year.

The one thing with MLB 20 and 300 stars was that it was attainable within the 30 day time frame. If you put 1 to 2 hours in most days of the week you could reach that. This 650k xp is looking ridiculous.

I wonder how much xp you get with a 9inning ranked seasons game?

Yeah. Buy why would they limit the availability of a core part of the game to release day? We paid to get early release and we can't play all modes?

One could argue that they don't want people getting a huge start; but that's bull and void when people had the LS Collection done within hours if playing and you have someone showing you how to 'farm' XP.

So, once I complete the Moments and the Conquest map for the 1st Inning; I now have to either wait until the 24th (won't be able to play Mon - Fri next week to get more progress on the 1st Inning program or mindlessly the cpu for either 8 inn games or abuse the system like Gomes?

Add in that you can't get After Game cards in Conquest (unless it's a bug and I'm waiting in a reply from SDS concerning that) I'm really contemplating deleting the game and contacting my bank for a full refund.

I was putting in 40 minutes to do a showdown and earned roughly 12XP over the match bonuses. Definitely harder to get XP now.

Also I think that in MLB 20 in every inning program, the big rewards were obtainable just by completing showdown, conquest, topps moments and maybe online play. Dont think it will be possible here. You dont have so much time one month and those rewards are gone forever
