NMS tips for the live series collection in 21

the problem with investing in golds to diamonds at the beginning of the year is it usually is a couple months after the game is released for someone to get upgraded to diamond. it would be very hard to predict who will stay hot for the long of a period. after they start making more golds to diamonds that always the best way to make stubs
-
The investments that Ikansu mentioned are a popular way to make stubs, but I finished the Live Series collection in 17, 19, and 20 easily without ever investing. I don't like to have a lot of stubs tied up in something which may or may not work out. I prefer to just flip on the market until I make enough to purchase any card I want. The market moves pretty quickly, especially early on. You can earn a lot through low volume high margin flips, and high volume low margin flips.
If you don't know much about flipping, that's a whole different conversation but the basics are buy low, sell high, and be mindful of the 10% tax. Flipping on the website is also often more convenient than using the in game market.

Hey namesake, where you from?
I'm from germany and became a fan in 2016
Cool, thanks. Yannik is popular in French; I thought we might from the same area. Well, enjoy The Show!

It also sucks when EVERYONE knows a Gold is going to go Diamond and it takes SDS awhile to upgrade that player. Especially when, after the upgrade, because so many people invested that Diamond is close to QS value.
Another thing to add: if there are ever any low tiered (Silvers) cards that are Event rewards (talking about you Rookie Machado) buy multiples of them.
By the time they come out with a large Collection reward (Bonus 19, Trout 20) you can usually triple your investment.
.
Also, buy any PR Reward cards when they are first released. Because once a new RS starts; they're no longer available. At least until the end of the game's cycle -

I’d honestly rather work a couple extra hours or sell stuff on eBay and buy stubs than spend countless hours flipping to claim “nms”.

Absolutely. I say I'm going to buy up a bunch of event rewards every year and never pull the trigger. Man would buying 50 Brooks robinsons at 8k a piece in April would have done me wonders

Well within your rights. Do what works for you. That's the beauty of the market: there's no "one way".

All the Mandalorians that I know would strongly disagree with you, sir.

Yeah, but most of them are dead anyway.

yeah thats cool
my parents named me after a french tennis player -
You could also buy up the golds and silvers that are spread out through XP rewards. Majority of the time they are needed for AS,PS,Rookie collections as well. I bought bunch of Don Sutton Gold cards and made money off those. Equipment is a tricky one and Stadium sounds.

My 2nd year as well and I did it nms last year, just bought the deluxe edition.
What really stands out is I could have bought Verlander for 50k that opening weekend and paid 2x that when I was finally ready to finish the Astros 2 months later.
Get Trout and the high diamonds out of the way asap, especially before stub sales

So 21 is gonna be my second year in Diamond Dynasty and I want to finish the live series collection without spending money. If you have any general tips for that I'd appreciate it
I didn’t spend any money other than buying the deluxe version of the game. It was the first time I finished the live series collection. I don’t “play” the market either.
