MLB 21 Weekly Videos

So here is my major complaint with SDS and really any video company. Let me first say I understand business and it's usually not the best idea to talk about flaws in your product or service but to deflect to the good things. With that said I did not watch the first three videos live. I have been watching them this morning. Specifically in the second video talking about fielding they are really beating themselves up over the bad animations from MLB 20. My thing is why wouldn't they just come out and say hey we hear you and unfortunately there isn't much we can do coding wise because this is what we have but we do hear you and will make this a focus in the future. Instead we just get silence and the same posts over and over through the life cycle of the game about how bad it is. They obviously know when they have it right and they know when they have it wrong. I just think it would go a long with with this player base and community to do a better job of owning the good and the bad while it's happening.
With all of that said they do have me looking forward to 21 as I stopped playing 20 way earlier than I normally would have.

"Our current product is garbage. Please buy it and we'll promise we'll fix it in the next version."
That's not as winning a PR message as you think it is. Their current strategy ("Check out this OTHER cool stuff we have!") is probably the least worst option.

I hear what you are saying. And I even referenced that before I said what I said but it's a little frustrating as a consumer to hear them say in the videos for 21 that they know last year's product was [censored] in a lot of ways so it could just as easily turn people away from buying the new installment.
