Does Spring Training affect overalls in DD?

Cause if not I think Ohtani is an 81-83 but if it does I think he makes the case to be a diamond. But I don’t want him to be diamond cause I want a better chance to pull him in one of my 5 gold choice packs.

No I don't think it does but the way SDS does their player ratings, who knows what he will be. I think you'll be safe that he will be a gold though

They shouldn't for several reasons. First, it is a pretty small sample size compared to the three years of data that they normally use.
Second, many times they are not facing true competition. Are they getting at bats or pitching appearances against MLB pitchers or guys that will end up in the minor leagues. If spring training stats are not counted for anything in real baseball then they should be ignored in game.

For players with an extremely small sample size (i.e. September callups), it might make some difference.
Otherwise...
