Not being able to control the pci the way you want is ridiculous. Should be fixed for the people that use zone.
Yeah, I mean if people are going to worry so much about mouse users, then allow the rubber band effect to be turned off vs CPU.

I am not good at hitting, but if they made it any easier, there would be guys who would make it to ws without ever playing past the 3rd inning in any game
Actually they wouldn’t likely allow mouse and keyboard but if you stopped the bounce back it would make ppl mod mouse and keyboard — there is a huge group of players that have been trying to mod their way to mouse and keyboard on mlb the show with adapters — the hurdle they have is the bounce back effect on the pci. It makes it so mouse and keyboarders have no been able to Mod their way into this game.

It’s not about customization. It’s about adapters that are readily available waiting for this to change so they can exploit the game with mouse and keyboard undetected because it’s a ghost adapter that plugs into the console.
So even if mlb the show banned mouse and keyboard and added this feature. Mouse and keyboard modders would exploit it.

I’m absolutely not misconstruing anything you say. You have been very clear in what you say and it’s basically that you want user input to be less important then game attributes in order to keep the game “more realistic”. But that argument is severely flawed in that basically in order to do that you would have to take the control of the game away from the player but you don’t seem to register that.
So now you are promoting a alternative which is to jeopardize the integrity of zone hitting which is just really a sabotage move if you haven’t listened to the reason as to why that would be a problem. You are cleaning it up with “customization” hoopla but I wouldn’t be surprised if you know very well all about the mouse and keyboard problem - just sayin.
Sds if you do not know. The MnK modders have been long trying to infiltrate this game and have been met with a problem of zone hitting being limited to movement. If this feature was changed you would open the door to a huge problem that has been stopped almost like an unbreakable firewall that is the rubber banding effect of the pci. Don’t change it. Unless you want your game flooded with cheaters

Not being able to control the pci the way you want is ridiculous. Should be fixed for the people that use zone.
Yeah, I mean if people are going to worry so much about mouse users, then allow the rubber band effect to be turned off vs CPU.
We should really get this message across to devs. I don’t even use zone, but I think it’s ridiculous you guys that do can’t adjust how you want it to work.
I am always for more customization and people being allowed to play the game the way they want, buy the competitive players do not tend to feel this way, they seemed to be concerned too much on how it is going to hurt them online.

As far as mouse vs controller, I own people on shooters with a controller when they have a mouse. Some of the best at shooters in the world use a controller. Yes, most use mouse, but I think it’s more of a psychological thing more than anything. They are used to what they are used to. It doesn’t destroy competition, it would enhance it. Again, this don’t use zone anyway, so I have an unbiased opinion on the matter.
Shooters are a whole different animal. Brah. You are talking about being able to point and click at an image coming in on your screen. Do realize how insanely easy that would be?? Forcing people to use a thumb for a pci is why it’s so hard. If I could point and click a mouse at the ball the difficulty dramatically decreases.

You certainly are misconstruing what I have been saying. Look at the posts I have made on how it could be done. You just don’t agree with it, which is fine. All I’m asking is you don’t misrepresent what people in the realism camp are saying. The players we use should have the greatest impact on games. It’s up to the users to get the most out of said players. You try to tell us we don’t like competition, which is completely false. As long as you don’t misrepresent what we say, we are all good.

Here's a simple exercise to improve both.
hold paper money in your hand, value dont matter but a worn/used bill is better. hold it so that all your fingers are straight, now put the ridge of your hand (index finger/thumb) is on your forehead with index finger near your hairline.move your hand away so that your arm becomes straight(without changing height of your hand) when ready let the money go and try to catch it with your other hand( other arm should be at your side. try and get it before it drops below the level of your jaw.
This will improve both your reflexes and hand eye coordination.
Oh also best done in doors, wind is not your friend in this circumstance.Wow thanks man, Because of your amazing tip

)Its serious.when i was in my 20s i spent my decembers selling christmas trees, taking money from people sometimes was an adventure,my brother has his off days coming up so ill see if he can help me record something.im in my 40s now so my reflexes arent what they used to be, but it takes a lot to be able to catch falling paper out of the air.
So I actually just tried the dollar bill thing and it's actually pretty hard and also kinda fun. I think i'm going to try doing this for a month and see if it helps my hand eye coordination.

I have pretty [censored] good hand eye coordination and I’m not the best pci user. I’m good at it but that’s because I’ve been doing it a long time and there are people that picked up the game in a few years are better then me at it obviously. It’s more then hand eye coordination. It’s timing. Recognizing the pitch being thrown. Tendencies of the user. There are guys that are not good mechanical hitters and they are in the top 50. CBrev is a good example of that. He studies tendencies and admittedly is an average pci user mechanically and he is in the top 50 every season.
When I say not good mechanically I mean in comparison to someone like pitchingrebel according to him

Actually they wouldn’t likely allow mouse and keyboard but if you stopped the bounce back it would make ppl mod mouse and keyboard — there is a huge group of players that have been trying to mod their way to mouse and keyboard on mlb the show with adapters — the hurdle they have is the bounce back effect on the pci. It makes it so mouse and keyboarders have no been able to Mod their way into this game.
Trust me. It would be a mistake
We agree. I was saying even though hitting is not easy for me, I dont think they should do anything to make hitting easier

It's a totally different world comparing this to shooters and I honestly believe a mouse would actually work counterproductive for this game.
Sean is talking about taking away the re-center, so basically it would become point and click. That would be a huge advantage with a mouse.

There is no way to use a mouse in the current game. The rubber banding effect makes the mouse ineffective. It just jitters. People have tried it and have failed. They have been trying to work around it and the rubber banding is the mechanism that stops it.
