Only difference so far i would notice would be graphics. SDS wouldn't give next gen the advantage. It's all about getting paired with someone of your skill level (i.e rookie with rookie or veteran with veteran). If someone from SDS would like to reply to this they'll say the same thing. I've NEVER been paired with a legend skill level on veteran. I always get paired with veteran players.
MLB stadiums don't have lag. Already a benefit.
Exactly, won't they have better reaction times to pitches because their systems can process it faster?
Will PS4 be all laggy and crappy while P$5 will be unfair???
Your bad Internet causes lag not the console version
Framerate

Just like internet connections, the game will always play to the slower persons system. If you have great internet connection and play someone else that doesnt, the game slows your stuff down to sync with them. So advantage for them. Same for gaming systems. They will be synced to balance out. Advantage slower system.

It better not. Until I get my PS5. Then it better.

I think you are confusing opponent skill level (human) versus technology. You can own a PS5 and suck because maybe your stick skills are terrible. You still have the advantage of a more advanced tech with the PS5. You just might not put it to good use. No one plays in MLB stadiums because the FPS is terrible. With a PS5 you can. So little Johnnie with his 1st generation ps4 is gonna sit thru 9 innings of crappy frame rate loss while the PS5 owner has a smooth game. This has nothing to do with internet lag either BTW its just a superior machine that can process information faster.
This is my exact fear. So if this is true, then PS5 will have a clear advantage!!!
Not to mention this stupid create-a-stadium everyone is so pumped about (can we focus on getting good gameplay before we ask for goofy aesthetic [censored]?!).
The CAS will probably cause even greater frame rate loss with all the way combos ppl will create.

So they shouldn't have anything like stadium creator until gameplay is 100% perfect? It's not an either or. Just because a game adds content it doesn't always mean it comes at the expense of gameplay. Stadium creator will have 0 effect on the gameplay.

You don't know that. They aren't some indie company, they can have a team working on gameplay and a team working on stadium creator. For all we know 1 person did stadium creator over his lunch break, it isn't a really difficult feature to implement as it's been around forever. There will always be things people want to see improved with gameplay every year, that doesn't mean the game shouldn't ever add anything else new. Dummy opponent skill level is whatever they set (i.e rookie or veteran). Diamond Dynasty matches your skill level with someone of YOUR skill level. If you look at that rating bar and above is says something along the lines of "it is dynamically set to your skill"

It’s not something they are going to purposely give and advantage to. But if you are playing on 60 FPS and I’m playing on 30 FPS and it’s the same game. You have an advantage. That’s just the way it is and there is nothing anyone can say or do about it.
Ppl upgraded their hardware.

Ty for this post i have 120mb dl and almost 20 upload never experienced lag whatsover and i'm not even on the pro ps4.
I would venture to say most lag comes from playing wireless.

Diamond dynasty match up is by your rating level at the time, skill has no bearing on the match up. It starts with a smaller window near your current rating and expands until a match is found. Depending on the game mode you could easily match up with an opponent who is much less or more skilled than you. BR and Events it is more common

How big will the differences between the two versions be with next gen having 60 Frames Per Second (FPS)?
Will PS4 players be matched up and at a disadvantage to PS5 users?
Will PS5 next have entirely upgraded gameplay?
There will be cross gen play. There are two different versions of the game. One designed for each system. No reason one system should have more frame rate issues than the other. Unless people start playing tthe PS4 version on their ps5

There is absolutely a reason. Someone spent money on better hardware to have a better experience of the game. PS4 is not going to have a 60 frames game and even if it did it wouldn’t run it at 60 frames and you would experience Even more frame lag because the game TRYING to run it at a rate your hardware isn’t capable of. This was the big issue with game like assassins creed unity. They had to patch it to downgrade the framerate.

People always quote download and upload when it come to having good internet but ping is way more of an issue than speed. You can game on 50 download if you have excellent ping but you could have a gig download and a bad ping, you will experience lag. There is way more to internet than just upload and download
-
I don't know about an advantage between ps4 pro and ps5... but I just got a ps5 and can tell you there is a HUGE difference between the old ps4 and the ps5. much more enjoyable gameplay and smoother games. Pitches don't teleport and while I haven't turned into pitching rebel overnight I feel like I have been playing the game at a disadvantage for the last year.

Okay so if there are "gameplay" differences between next gen and current gen versions , i.e. player movement while fielding or pitching animations will it be like madden? Meaning next gen players are only matched with next gen players while playing head to head?

Yes we know. That’s because it’s an easier/faster way of describing their internet situation without having to delve too deep into the topic. There’s way more than ping that factors into it also.
