Don't Get The Show 21 unless you have next gen
-
I predicted that create a stadium will be only for the next-gen consoles and I was right. Gaming companies always do this, giving next-gen consoles exclusive features. I wouldn't mind a less detailed create a stadium mode but to remove a well-wanted feature will disappoint the majority of players who don't have a next-gen console. I fear that the current-gen consoles will not get much attention as the next-gen in this game. For Xbox players, get the game if you like. But for PS4 players, just stick with 20 and wait until you get a next-gen console.
-
It’s prob because the ps4 and the Xbox can’t handle the feature hardware wise. Not because they are trying to give people less.
Sticking with 20 is a nightmare. The game is garbage gameplay wise.
-
Why would any company not take advantage of the newest consoles capability? I don't think that the ps4 or xbox one can handle it as they are probably limited in the framerate but that shouldn't make it so they don't work new things into the new consoles. It sucks for those that don't have the newest system but the company needs to move forward, not stay the same
-
I think it’s a mix of both probably. They could add it to ps4 but it would be a little laggy. So why put it on ps4 when it could be on next gen as a perk without the lag.

I was on the fence of getting 21 for ps4, I won't be getting ps5 for awhile, but this just tipped the scale, I'll pass on 21 until I get a ps5.

No surprise. MLB TS 20 and 19 can barely run decent on PS4 and PS4 pro systems without big framerate drops. They cannot really add more features to these outdated systems.

Different generation of graphics, apples to oranges. You wouldnt want PS2 stadium customization and graphics in 2021.

Also if you are getting both copies when you buy the game and can transfer your progress why wait?
-
It must be related to the technical limitations of the older gen consoles. Time marches on, and with it does technology. Time to upgrade.

"Siri, how does capitalism work?"
You want next-gen features, you gotta pay next-gen prices. It's not an unreasonable ask.
-
If every feature found in the PS5 version was also in the PS4 version, people would complain about how the PS5 is pointless and there is no reason to upgrade. It doesn't matter that the PS5 version will be in 4K at 60 FPS and load faster. Just see the response to Spider-Man: Miles Morales. If there are exclusive features for PS5, then people complain about that because they don't have a PS5. There is no pleasing these clowns.

MLBTS Made by Sony San Diego
PS5 Made by Sony
I swear common sense class should be requirement in junior high.
Was op seriously trying to start a boycott of MLBTS 21 on MLBTS very own forum?
-
I love how people are writing off the game because of this when we know almost no details about it. It may be very limited. It could be a Franchise only feature. It most likely is an offline only feature.
-
This is a really silly complaint to be upset that a new console has a next gen feature that last gen can't do. That's expected.
-
If not having a feature that we didn't have for the entirety of the PS4's lifespan is the dealbreaker for you I have a feeling you weren't going to buy the game anyway
-
not a deal breaker for me. will stay on ps4/xbox one w/ mlb 21. need more info too on how create a stadium will be used.
i'm more into creating stadiums based off real life stadiums (astrodome, comiskey, tiger, etc). so waiting to see if that can be done in that mode.
-
Not having create a stadium is perfectly okay. Ps5 is sold out everywhere where im at. I just want to play the game. I see no reason to fly out to cali or somewhere where ps5 is available to purchase. You CANNOT tell us not to purchase a game. We don't need to be parented by you.
-
I dont see why people are getting so hung up on create a stadium when no one knows anything about it. From the looks of it, it's all going to be cosmetic. I doubt you can move outfield around and create 250 foot fences that are 80 feet high. I would assume you have 8 or 10 basic set ups that you can choose from the add on some other things to make the stadium more than just the base.
I really can't see it being in online at all because if the ps4 and Xbox 1 can't run it properly, they won't be able to run it properly online either and would be at a huge disadvantage. This will be a bare bones first attempt at this, I believe anyways

People nowadays don’t understand free market and equal opportunity. They think they are entitled to everything.
