Penalty For Requesting FQ While Losing

Haha, I love these threads and how people just jump all over each other because they disagree about something in a video game forum. Great for a quick read and a chuckle on a bad day

You should also consider joining a conversation when it happens, not a week later. His claim is I set up zoom accounts. Can't be hard.
That's like telling someone that a doctor does nothing but stick a thermometer up yer hole.
Move along bruh.
Ohh.. I apologize for not replying to the conversation sooner and from now on I’ll follow your advice! But first I’ll have to quit working so many hours and also tell my family that I can’t be disturbed at any time during the day. I’ll try to skip my lunch break too so I can be up to date with your schedule..
I’m glad me and you are both adults and can agree on something. I like how fast people can change and become friends. There’s a quote that describes what I think and I would like to share it with you. (Unsure of who made the quote)
“Don't care what you do for a living. I'm 47 and work with kids all day too. I also reply to kids on these forums.” -An anonymous mature adult
TLDR friendly quits are a part of this game which is a good thing. You should quit normally instead of shutting of the machine because your game will get corrupted over time and that’s a fact so there’s a helpful friendly tip because I care about you and your game.
-
Make friendly quit only available before the first pitch.

Love how people enjoy arguing, for the sake of... Arguing.
Removing FQ. Leaving FQ for the abusers that will catch 1 out of 20 unlucky people. To each their own.
Telling me to move on and just hit O? Same can be said for removing it, since y'all don't use it apparently, you won't miss it.
Hypocrisy all around, for everybody. Insert Oprah gif here...
-
Why even make a post, honestly? All you have to do is hit the decline button and continue to play. But trying to say they should be banned for 24 hours of online play is childish. But hey, so is the original post.

Agree with OP 100%. For one thing, I see way too many “top players” dodging each other in ranked bc they’re scared of playing a close game and potentially losing. I think you should be forced to play who u match with

No. Friendly quits before the first pitch are usually to avoid playing a good player. The ones after the first pitch have a better chance of actually being for a good reason.
-
I mean, you said No right? So I don't understand what your point is.

Good reason or not, they never get accepted. I’ve literally never had a friendly quit accepted after the first pitch. So there’s no point in having them after first pitch. If you only allow them before first pitch it will at least stop people from tricking other people into accidentally accepting a friendly quit.

Sees comments about people arguing.. checks previous replies... yup

A recent opponent had the brass neck to ask for a "Friendly" Quit while losing 6-0 in the 3rd inning.
I think that if/when such things are reported, the offending player should receive - at minimum - a 24-hour ban from playing online.
I also think that the game should incorporate a system whereby it's not possible to ask for an FQ beyond a certain threshold, or better still requiring more than one button press to accept an FQ.
Thoughts?
Some of you take your video games way too seriously. A ban because someone asked for a FQ while losing? TF am I reading? Just decline it and keep playing. Your opponent will probably quit anyway.
The uselessness of what people like you choose to care about in a video game is astounding.

Facts, this is a pretty ridiculous thread

Dude. Pump the brakes.
Real men don't bang trash cans..... It's childish not to forgive and forget....
Double check yourself.
Regarding FQ, who cares. They are never used legit. That's the bottom line. The fact that you and I are arguing over it, is pointless. Just like hitting O in the FQ, you could have ignored the post by me and move on. Instead, you got snide. I replied.
Don't care what you do for a living. I'm 47 and work with kids all day too. I also reply to kids on these forums.
My opinion.. FQ needs to go.
I'm genuinely curious why you are so adamant that FQ needs to go. I understand that you don't accept them for any reason, and that's fine. But I don't understand why you feel they need to be abolished entirely.
I would think having them in the game would give someone who always denys them an advantage. If only for the fact that once in awhile you'd be matching up with someone sending friendly quits until they match up with a favorable record.
I'm not at all looking to argue, I'm just trying to see where you are coming from and get a better understanding of your side.
Most people don't use FQ for legit purposes. You need to accept that to understand my point of view. 95% of FQ are bantha poodu.
My reasoning for removing it, is that there are chronic FQ people that send it EVERY GAME that they are planning to quit and are losing. It's a cultural issue of people using a game mechanic in an attempt to avoid the L. If one person out of 20 that they send the FQ to take it in error, they will continue to do it.
If the dog needs to go out, if I have to take a call, flip the laundry, get the doorbell etc, pause or quit. If something comes up that I need to shut down instead of playing, I should shut the machine off and take care of business.
FQ users are the same folks that dashboard.
So, you dashboard/"shut the machine off" are you the same as a FQer?

I have had them accepted after the first pitch. I literally just did two days ago. Was a couple innings in and then my girl needed my help to do something so I offered and they accepted. If they would have not I would have just quit but luckily they accepted. If the reason to get rid of them is just to stop the tricking stuff then they should just do something to make it harder to trick someone, not just take it away altogether.

- I've never dashboarded.
- If something comes up, I just go to menu, quit, close the app, turn off the PS and get after it. I manage my playing time as just that though. If I have to quit a game, it's very rare. I sure as hell though, don't ask for a FQ before leaving.

I think you're asking a bit much.
People who ask for the FQ are simply hoping for mercy, To punish them would be way over the top
-
I only ask for a friendly quit if me and my opponent have the same pitcher on the mound or if a game goes to extra innings and I have something to do. Getting rid of the friendly quit would punish the people who actually have a legit reason for it.
