Why is all star a competitive game mode? I don’t like to gripe about the game but all star plays so bad. Yes I have lost twice in a row to players that swing very early at every pitch of the game. Yes I should hit better. But good lord all star hell sucks.

At least when I lose on hall of fame I feel like the player was better than me/know I didn’t execute in a big spot. All star just feels like playing roulette

Swing away, the hangers are gonna come
-
That's AS for you..it's total garbage no way around that

I know I’m just tilted. I’ve restored to power swinging early on any pitch that looks close lol
-
Dude I just hit a PP single with Seager and got thrown out at 1st base lol

I hear ya man. AS plays so bad. I have started looking at batter analysis after games for both teams and it only frustrates me even more. To see the stuff the opponent gets rewarded on and the stuff that I don't get rewarded on. Not to mention those pitches that just float over the middle of the plate. Shouldn't pitching get easier at lower levels (yes, hitting should too), but I feel like my placement (analog pitching and PCI) is even better at the higher levels.
So infuriating. I think I just have to take a break.

Agree with this take. If I get beat by a better player, so be it. If someone hits my good pitch, then fine. I can live with that. Kudos to you. But when pitches float over the middle and get crushed, that's deflating as hell. I also started to notice earlier today that as soon as I take a lead, I end up giving up at least one middle floater the next inning. It's amazing how often I can take a lead and not hold it.

PP with Griffey in Coors was a flyout today. PP with Trout in Dodger Stadium was a flyout yesterday. Not that I expect every PP to be a hit, but those had good launch angle and everything. What else can I do?

Just foul off 8 pitches in the dirt and very early a cutter away to the upper deck

I agree with the perfect thing. I get the perfect lineouts bc that happens irl. 125 power perfect fly outs [censored] me off.

A PP would be the easiest to get thrown out on because the ball is hit harder so that actually makes sense.

Allstar and below is a complete [censored] shoot of randomness. I’ve lined out 15 or more times in games. Multiple perfects while my opponent strikes out 25 times and hits everything the game makes me miss — and then wins. Literally the epitome of nothing to do with skill.
-
I played the last event almost exclusively the past 2 weeks and don’t think I can play another game on all star again. I was getting punished on legend but playing the current event on Hall of Fame has been a joy

I had an opponent strike out 13 times in 5 innings but I was only up like 3 when he quit. I had another I was up 8 with 2 outs in the ninth and I had back to back dropped third strikes reach base then of course a three run shot. I find the only enjoyment I get out of all star is laughing at how bad it is. But it’s really unfortunate because I want to play ranked seasons, I just can’t make myself play in the 500-600 range after playing in the 7’s last season

I've had similar experience. In the last event, and current, I've been up in the top of the last inning by 1 or 2. Closer in. Pass ball, error, home run, I lose. Lol

I still won that game but he was far below my skill level. If it had been a close game and that happened I would’ve dashboards not gonna lie
