SP Options

Does anyone have ideas for SP? Rn my best is Smoltz, but I'm really not confident in any SP rn. I know pitching is kinda broken rn, but just wondering if anyone knows any good ones thus far.

Really not any good ones with the pitching like it is feel good if a starter gives up 3-4 through 5 innings

The only starter I've had sustained success with so far is the Cubs collection Mark Prior (Though I haven't tried Maddux or Glavine)

Honestly from playing events Smoltz seems horrible. Every time I’ve used him I’ve gotten rocked(more so then my other pitchers) and I’ve rocked him too

My rotation right now is: Oswalt, Pearson, Maddux, Smoltz, Glavine. I also throw in diamond Nola and Forrest Whitley. Some of those guys are more expensive but IMO they're all good except for Nola, who is a bit iffy.
Bottom line is pitching is very difficult and you will probably struggle no matter who you use. For that reason, I'm just going with personal favourites until I get to the higher levels. -
Pulled a Strasburg. Immediately pitched him against the Braves in conquest on rookie difficulty. Gave up back to back jacks to Freeman and Acuna on successive pitches. That's when I noticed his 52 HR/9...buh bye

They removed HR/9 from gameplay; it only affects simulations

Yea I just played a guy that had TA Torres, TA Gallo, TA Olsen, TA Ohtahni, TA Soto, LS Bellinger, LS Betts, 91 Hardware Piazza, and someone else Diamond...that's some dough spent

FS Reyes in the classics collection was a nice card a couple year back. I haven't tried this year though.

Pearson is probably the best starter in the game. Hitting 102-103 with the fastball with a 85 change and 79 curve

Yeah I’m not sure anyone is all that effective online, but if they change pitch speeds this card is going to be insane. 102 all game and basically twice as accurate as anyone in the game who throws it that fast. 45k is a steal.

I've had really good success with 89 FotF Blake Snell. His stats and pitches are nothing fancy, but they're solid for this early in the game and his delivery is a little funky. I haven't played a ton yet, but he hasn't given up a single run online so far for me.
