I must have about 5 wins to around 20 losses. I’m likely in the minority for this community, but wanted to create a space for those struggling. I’m getting pounded, nasty style!
In my experience after the first few days the competition evens out and the wins happen. This same thing happened in the West event. Thought to squeak out a win for the first few days and then all the goons get their wins and move back to RS. It'll likely get easier.

I had much better luck with the last event than this one. Getting lit up a lot. In the first few days of the event and especially on weekends, the comp is definitely much higher. I’m at 18 wins and initially had high hopes of going for the rewind pack to try for Goose, but will probably stop after Ohtani.
-
Well the event is about teams that lost a lot last year.
-
Well I think they shouldn’t allow cards that are legends in the Event. It should be current players, and there are enough to make [censored] good teams.
-
Having to insert commons to get a valid lineup means I will pass on the event.

0 commons on my team, 4 diamond starters 1 gold starter. 6 diamond bullpen arms, full 99 roster with 1 98, prestige Soto on the bench, diamond zimmerman, gold pete alonso, 2 bronze pinch runners
-
Yeah I just carry a common backup catcher because Salvy is not leaving the lineup.

Those diamonds are NOT all 99's for your SP and bullpen.
The point is that anything that requires me to shuffle bantha poodu into a lineup configuration at this stage of the game, will get a hard pass from me

I started out strong 4-1 and I've gone on to lose 5 in a row... Not sure what is happening. I generally pitch pretty well and can't hit a lick (its the first year I've ever played online). I seemed to have lost all ability to pitch.
Amazing how it just flat out disappears on you. Had it happen recently I went back and did the first POTM moment against Rockies using Patrick Corbin it got me back on track its fairly long think its 12 k's 7 innings and you dont get many cheap K's, that group of Rockies is juiced plus want to say a run given up fails you

There are no 99 bullpen arms for this event, 2 99s 1 94 Shohei because I just picked him up and a 90, before getting Shohei I was running 3 99s

At this rate the forever event will have an overall cap.

I wouldn’t want it just current players. No thanks, though I get where you’re coming from. Frankly, I’m only using guys I can prestige (and Miggy, who I still don’t have 3 HRs with). I even load up my prestigeable SP and use them as relievers because there are no relievers to prestige in this event. I probably wouldn’t even bother playing the event if I couldn’t prestige guys.
Played a few more times today. Won a few but still had games where I’m getting blasted and where I don’t seem to get rewarded for good swings. checking feedback after the game and some good feedback not producing hits. Also, a ton of warning track fly outs for me.
I did look up two of my opponents I faced today and they are fairly good players. So, I just have to tip my hat I guess. Just frustrating to lose so much and not have good feedback rewarded pitching and hitting.
-
I cant do anything in this event... cant hit anything but bullets at opposing fielders while all my opponents are jacking balls out of the dirt... im like 9-20

I won my first game in this event. Went into the 8th inning and had trea turner hit a double with brian roberts on third and 2 outs. Opponent was not concerned with keeping roberts close to 3rd so go a big lead and dropped a perfect bunt with soto to win. May be cheesy but it was the 8th inning and I had to get to work it was either win in the 8th or quit in the ninth.

You could have always got a hit with Soto. I’d say the odds of him getting down a two strike bunt are far less than him getting a hit. That’s why people call that cheese, because in real life nobody would ever give Soto the bunt sign in that situation, and if they did, I’m sure he’d ignore it.

I was off on my timing with most of the guys the whole game had a long deep perfect perfect fly out with cobb. I don't win alot of the events really just do it to get stats for prestige.
-
I had a great start going 20-5, but lost 2 of the last 3, and every single game seems to be against very good players.. SDS still hasn't even updated their twitter feed on this event or new rewards, guess I shouldn't be surprised (but I am).

I’m sympathetic, but honestly, you never get better by bunting with Soto. The guy’s contact numbers are so good, you can easily foul off pitches until you get a good one to hit. I know, easier said than done, but IMO, swinging away with Soto in that situation is a much healthier approach.

I have walked 20 batters in the last five event games and given up 42 runs. That’s an average of 4 walks and 8.4 runs per game. I literally cannot throw a strike to save my life.

It always seems like you (not you specifically) shafted but the opponent you are facing gets 2-2 or 3-2 counts. I hate when my opponent get several 3-2 or 3-1 counts once they get a guy on base never fails I don't want to just lay one in and I end up walking them.
