got to the final boss which was jansen this time. scored 11 in the leadup to the final, so down 15-11. i had 20 outs and all i could muster was 1 solo home run, lost 15-12. i had jansen down to no energy and made him throw over 60 pitches.

any tips for jansen or lineup/perks to knock this one out?

I'd suggest being more patient at the plate, especially against a closer. 60 pitches over 20 outs isn't great - work counts and try and get some free base runners via walks.

For sure you can do it. I am terrible at showdowns and even I got it first try. I beat all the missions on the way up so didn’t need many runs.

It doesn’t have to be pretty. Bases loaded walks and rbi groundball outs still count as runs.

I could even get past 2 set of showdowns and lost at 2nd mini boss

I also was down 15-11 going into this, and just tried to be patient. I took at least two pitches for the first dozen batters, and only looked dead center. Jensen will inevitably hang a couple offspeed pitches if you see 60+ pitches, so you have to be ready for them... if it’s not dead center, let it go until you have two strikes for the first 12 outs. And having a speed guy on the bench is always good in case you put the tying run on base. Whenever you have a runner on first, sit low in the zone, because the only thing you can not afford, ever, is a double play. Double plays are the Kryptonite of Showdowns.

I would advise against sitting low to avoid hitting into double plays. If I am trying to induce a ground ball, usually I am throwing low in the zone.
