Cobb or Mookie?

I also can't hit a lick with Griffey. I'm not a great hitter in general, but my struggles with Griffey are otherworldly. I've been using Soto (LF), Trout (CF) and Bellinger (RF)
-
As I've stated before, I'm not so great at RS, but even at this point in the year, facing 99 pitchers, I can still hit over .300 with Cobb. You should see the rest of my team. WAIT... don't look.
-
I'm hitting around .600 offline with Griffey but struggle with Trouty and Mookie. I'd use Cobb.
-
I’m also struggling with Griffey. I’m going to give him a few more at bats, but am considering plopping a Bryce Harper in there too.
-
love Cobb! been in the lead off spot since I got him, can't take him out! playing him in RF

Any suggestions? I literally can’t hit with Griffey I’m not sure why but I’m done with him. I’m looking at either Mookie or Cobb. Lmk what you guys think
I can't figure him out either. He's hitting like .190 for me but has 24 bombs??
-
Cobb, if you want you can put Mookie at 2nd
-
Cobb and he has a lot more power than you can imagine.
-
If you put Cobb at lead off most ppl will shift for the bunt and pitch high heat so you’ll hit a lot of gappers with him. When they don’t shift for the bunt then drag bunt. It’s not abusing the game and being cheesy with it, it’s just how you play
-
There are so many really good options in the outfield now. If you like lefty's Walker is an Animal and hits better against lefties. But I keep both Mookie and Cobb on my team, Mookie usually starts and Cobb is a great bench option. Otherwise if you're gonna start Cobb put him in Left.

I just can’t bring myself to do this.

Haha thank you!

Cobb easily

I don't understand this love for Cobb. He's a good card don't get me wrong. Perhaps great. But with options like Trout, Mantle, Walker, Griffey, Ted, Soto and Bellinger Cobb just doesn't make squads.
That being said, Cobb is balanced vs left and right handers and the better choice over Betts, but honestly neither of them should be on your team unless you REALLY have an affinity for one of them.

Everyone’s different. If Cobb was a power hitter and I hit home runs 24/7 people wouldn’t see anything wrong with it but since he’s a contact/bunt type of hitter i just play to the cards strengths that’s all.
-
I know. I’ve just played against so many opponents who do this with like three guys in their lineup. It gets tiring to deal with.
I’m not a very good hitter, so I try to score runs by hitting. Sometimes I leave men on, but I don’t think I get any better at the game by bunting.

Cobb, leadoff drag bunt -> steal 2B -> steal 3B -> sac bunt for a guaranteed RBI. That's how to abuse this game.
I tried cobb for this event in the leadoff and tried to drag bunt and it always goes to someone. I almost never ever bunt wven with the pitcher cause is always an out. I wish i could bunt like my opponents do with the perfect bunt
-
Tough call. Cobb is not in my lineup because of too many OF already (Trout, Griffey, Soto, Mantle, Bellinger and Randy) but in the Central Event everyone was using him and he was raking. I do like Betts, especially vs righties but if I play him anywhere it is 2nd base. Honestly, I would try both out. They are really not expensive and you could always sell the one you don't like.

I never bunt either, but if you wanna drag bunt successfully the trick is to bunt it towards the area in between the 2B and 1B where the pitcher can't reach it, the 2B has to come in too much to make the play and the 1B can never recover to 1B for the force out with that 99 speed. If your opponent doesn't know how to counter it, you can abuse it for days. Which is not a good thing, don't get me wrong.. I'm not advocating for this stuff, it just is what it is and since the game is dead anyway I figure sharing doesn't matter at this point.

The tricky part is, even bringing your 2b in, sometimes the animations will ruin you if everyone goes for the ball and nobody covers the bag.
