Players Who Self-Identify as "Bad"

I just played an abbreviated game with a guy who sent me a message, "Im bad", in response to me saying hello and good luck. I replied, "Let's play a full game. I throw plenty of strikes."
Through two innings, I had two hits, four (!) strikeouts, and had scored zero runs. After one pitch in his first at-bat in the 2nd inning, said pitch being a flat fastball right down the pipe, he quits.
WTAF?
Dude, if you're by any chance reading this, answer this question for yourself. If you're going to quit early against an opponent who tells you that he pitches to contact, why are you even bothering to play at all? Yes, it's likely that you would have lost in the end, but you'd have gotten 30 to 40 at-bats worth of practice against actual pitches instead of the usual only-ever-work-online repertoire employed by so many. Also, you might have won!
Try PGA 2K21 or something, maybe?

I wouldn't call myself "bad" but I'm definitely not the greatest. I've been playing on veteran for years as a comfort zone. But this past year I found it a lil easy. When I get a ps5 and 21 I may give all star a try. I also have to say I've never played a game online against someone else. However now that I have reliable internet id love to try some time. Id definitely play full games

I call myself bad, 1st year playing, just threw a perfect game with Grove to get to the 800's for the 1st time winning 2-0. Not enough time to try to make a WS run though I'd love to have Mays.
I need to get better at hitting.

I'm trying to eat healthier, I really am. But something about fast food is addicting.
