Any idea on PS4 to ps5
-
I’m assuming there is a chance that they may release a PS4 version of the game first and then follow later with the ps5 version. I believe that’s what happened when the PS4 came out. Does anyone know if someone buys the PS4 version at launch and starts building a team etc would that team transfer over if we upgrade to the ps5 version or would you start from scratch on the ps5? Basically the question is if you want to play the ps5 version of the game this year do you have to wait for the ps5 version or can you start building your team by buying the PS4 version and then buy the ps5 version when it drops and pick up your team on there?

I’m assuming, since it would be on the same psn account, that going from ps4 to ps5 would transfer everything. But who knows what sds will do

You won't get a "true" next gen game until they phase out production for ps4 games. Until then, you will get an upscaled version of the ps4 game (similar to ps4 to ps4 pro). It's never worth getting the new console until they start making the majority of the games next generation console only (usually year 3).
But to answer your question, they will drop at the same time. It will be the same game.

That’s just not true. 2K was able to offer a complete gameplay rebuild that is different between the PS4 and the PS5. No reason SDS can’t do the same.

I'm sorry you actually think it's "different". In any event, they did release at different times because it came out before next gen. You don't have to convince yourself that you messed up paying double retail for your ps5. Enjoy it, enjoy the ps4 games on a newer looking device.

Not sure if you actually played the different versions of 2k21, but they in fact look and play differently. No convincing needed

You are full of assumptions aren’t you. Just like thinking I paid double for my PS5. In fact I scored two of them back in September for nothing more than retail. Plus I do enjoy playing the Show on my PS5. The rock solid frame rates are very much welcomed. Can’t wait for the new release. Now go take a seat you clown.

Seems to make financial sense for them to do that since there are some who would end up buying both if the releases are staggered.

Hasn’t been the case in the past. The ps3 version of 14 dropped on April 1 and the PS4 version was over a month later. I believe the ps2 to ps3 versions had even a longer gap.

I have to tell you, I have the PS5 and every game plays better on it than the PS4 pro. The 60 FPS makes all the difference. You should def get one if you can.
