Who is better? Bumgarner or Lefty Grove? I want to try these two out
-
Can anyone please give me insight on either of these two cards? I want to try them out and Im curious to hear what everyone has to say about them. Who would you choose if you could only choose one of them? Why?
-
Lefty is great. I feel like hIs wind up is fluid and I can control his pitches well. I didn’t give MadBum enough of a chance, but I personally didn’t keep in the rotation long. May try again though.
-
MadBum is the best starter in the game. Better than Sale, Kluber, deGrom or anyone else.
-
Plus one for Grove
-
Pretty close for me... But Mad [censored] can hit the occasional bomb. Pitchers who rake?
-
Plus one for Grove. I only started MadBum for 2 starts, but he got torched both times and I sold him. Hes too expensive now for me to give him another shot. Grove is legit though. People get so geared up for the fastball, but all of his pitches are good so he give people trouble

Doood! Grove is definitely a top 5 starter. Holy hello kitty he is good. I also tried MadBum, he left a couple hanging right down the middle so I think Im just going to sell him, keep Lefty and move on to see who next I should try. What about Michael kopech?
-
MadBum cause he has a cutter

I've only faced Kopech once, it was on HOF. But the guy was just spamming fastballs up and in. I hit him pretty well. I dont remember what his other pitches are. I imagine he could be pretty good if you mix his pitches. It took me three innings to break through with me knowing what was coming

Big statement. Lol. I'm gonna try him out

Grove is solid but his off speed command stops him from being great. He does probably have the best fastball command for any pitcher with outlier though. I seem to be able to hit the edges of the zone at will unlike with DeGrom, Kopech, etc. His relatively low H/9 is also a knock against him. With top-flight per/9's he'd probably be the best pitcher in the game.
-
Lefty is way better then madbum!! Not even close! U need at least 97mph fastball vs good hitters!
-
Grove is a beast
-
You’re going to have to try for yourself. Every card plays different for each player.
-
Grove is better this year. Hands down. AS or HOF.

lol i thought the same thing and glad to see im not insane

Grove is [censored] good. I’ve thrown a no hitter with him.
-
I pick Grove, plus he's a very good hitting pitcher.

I have done the extensive research everyone and Grove is better by far. MadBum left many balls hanging in the middle of the plate. I hate pitchers that do that. We all know there is a category of pitchers that do that (leaves them hanging) and it annoys the living hell out of me. Grove was well worth the 400k I paid for him. I bet if I wait 2 weeks he will be up to a million. Although besides Bob Feller, I dont know who else I could buy that would be worth trying out that would be better than Grove. Anyone have Feller? How is he? He was a top 5 pitcher for me last year. Oh! What about Tom Glavine?!? Anyone try him out? His stats arent that great but he looks like fun to pitch with.
