The Pirates have traded All-Star First Baseman Josh Bell to the Nationals for right-handed pitchers Wil Crowe and Eddy Yean. Crowe is the #3 prospect for the Nationals (now Pirates) and Yean is the #6.

Padres have acquired Blake Snell from the Rays for prospects Luis Patiño, Francisco Mejía, Blake Hunt and Cole Wilcox (ESPN).

I think the Padres win this trade for now simply because now they have 3 top line starters (4 when Clevinger returns)
Will see how good Patino turns out to be, this is now Mejía's 3rd team and he has yet to crack any starting lineup. Hunt is in low A ball, and Wilcox was only drafted in 2020 so he's just getting goong.

Update on the Darvish Trade: There’s “growing optimism” that the two sides will complete a deal, tweets USA Today’s Bob Nightengale, adding that an agreement could come together as soon as today.

Another update: It looks like Victor Caratini might be included in the deal.
With the Padres signing Kim, there is a very good chance that Jake Cronenworth is heading to the Cubs. Likely Darvish and Caratini for two big leaguers and 2 prospects. -
