Ranked Season Quitters - frustrating

@brad37128 Ha...I know that...and I have wanted to quit, but I have also come back from 4-5-6+ runs down to win. Also, can still complete missions when losing. In both instances I spoke of, it was the first freaking inning.
-
I’ll do it if I know I am going to lose, which is a lot. This is probably frowned upon, I’ll tank ranked season games so I can be low ranking and play worse players to get prestige stats.

Yea bro ill quit if i know it wont end well. if your kicking my [censored] 4-0 or 5-0 in the first few innings im quitting. Why am i going to waste 45 minutes on a game i know i will lose. And yall out there save your comeback stories. Doesnt happen that often to warrant sticking around.
-
I don’t quit because the other night I was down 10-4 going into the 7th and walked it off 13-11

Only thing I can say is playing someone who's skill level is 10x yours is no fun at all. Maybe that is why. Played the event yet? LOL
Agreed. Sometimes I think how is this fun for people? I like a game I have a chance of losing. These guys are in the 400s playing and every batter is hitting 400 with 40 hr. Its so F lame. And I know its a game, blah blah blah, but when you are up 10-2 and you bring in Aroldis and your still trying to dot corners and dipsy doo out the strikezone, I hope your dog runs away
-
I've only quit one game in ranked so far. My wife has a sixth sense that allows her to know exactly when I am about to start a 9 inning game. The second I got up to the plate in the first she came downstairs and started running around with the dog right in front of the TV. Nolan Ryan was on the hill. I tried to power through, but it was way too hard to focus and hit a 102 mph with that going on. I knew the friendly quit would be denied (and rightfully so), so after striking out 7 times in 3 innings, I decided to cut my losses and give them attention.
Under normal circumstances I would probably only quit if my pen was completely spent and it was clear I had no chance of coming back.

I rarely quit. Even if I'm down like 6 or 7 zip. They need to earn it. Cause I'm def gonna tax some of his bullpen. Win or lose

There is always a chance of losing. A 10-2 lead can evaporate in an instant. RNG error, bloop single, homerun which destroys the pitcher's confidence, and then good luck stopping the rally.
Do you want your opponent to put in a common pitcher tossing the ball in underhand when you go down by more than 6 runs? If we were to match up, you bet your [censored] I'm going with a reliever like Chapman and I'm trying to get you out. Who even has a subpar reliever in the pen at this point?

I play for prestige stats only so I quit if I am not averaging a hit an inning by inning 3 or or if the pitcher only throws balls or on the outline of the strike zone. I also give the player I am playing at least a 3 run lead every inning and it prevents dashboarding. I have every card in the game besides Lou, but I like the challenge of prestige stats completion and moving on to the next prestige guy. I have 63 of the 101 done. I am close to 5 more. Playing with the same God squad over and over again seems boring to me.

I'm fairly new to this and just started Diamond Dynasty during quarantine. When you say prestige stats, do you mean completing the missions to complete each prestige player program?
Also, what is dashboarding?

Just stop the meter guys
It will match you with similar ranked opponents
-
I’ve come back from being down 6-0 in the first vs big Paxton. It all depends on my mindset. I’ve also quit games when my opponent hit the first pitch for a bomb. Just all depends on the frame of mind bro lol.

Dasboarding is when a creep turns off the power on their console while a play is happening and the game loses connection. You win the game due to forfeit, but you don't receive the result of the play when the power turned off. For instance, if a runner is on 3rd with 2 outs and the creep you are playing turns off the console when the ball is going over the wall, you might get the run scored from 3rd to count since he went home on contact with 2 outs, but you won't get the hit, extra base hit, rbi and run from your hitter. You do win the game.
You are correct about the prestige stats completion programs. Dashboarding when you need 3 rbis to complete a player and you have 2 guys on will haunt your dreams. -

Sounds to me you are missing 39 cards.
