Tip of the cap

Next year Sds should implement a function where you can give a " tip of the cap ". It would serve as opposite of the bunt dance if you will. Could also increase sportsmanship...you never know. For example:
You have an inning where maybe you square up 3 balls hard for outs with nothing to show for it....your opponent gives u a tip off the hat. " I feel ya bro "....I hear streamers saying this all the time when something goes horrible for an opponent.
..its like pick up ball u do something good and the other team says....good shot...good take...nice board...etc...not obviously showering you with praise since you are still the opponent....but letting them know when credit is due.
I also support tip of the hat feature!!

Not a bad idea but like another poster said, some cheeser out there is going to figure out how to abuse it to there advantage or for the soul purpose of being toxic. I think a better way to clean up the online play is a opponent rating system like they had in this game prior to the introduction of DD where you rate your opponent based on the game experience and if you fell below a certain threshold for what many of us call cheesy or toxic behavior you are punished for it. It used to be a ban of online play for a certain amount of days and then your reputation was reset. But they got rid of it because these same types of players would abuse the system and erroneously bad rep people because they were raging at the time. My solution to this situation is a system review where a bad rep must be justified in game and automatically triggers a review of the game in question by SDS for accuracy and if (determined by SDs enforcement) you falsely bad rep a person it negatively effects your own reputation. The list of behaviors that would qualify as bad behavior would be presented to the rater at the conclusion of the game if a bad rep is chosen and you would have to choose which behavior was considered bad (ie bunt dance, pause timer abuse, r2 spam) This would significantly clean up the online trolls that get their kicks making others mad.
I like the idea. Have to ask, when you hit R2 as the batter, what does the opponent experience that makes it toxic? Genuinely asking because I hardly ever hit R2...

Can we get a good pitching engine first please. And also more hit variety.

While someone is using r2 the pitcher is unable to deliver a pitch for the duration of the time the opponent is pressing r2 or 10 seconds if the opponent doesn’t release the the r2 button. It can have consequences because it can seriously foul up someone’s timing from a pitching standpoint and that’s why it is abused. People who do it throughout the game know exactly what they’re doing and they also know it’s toxic. If it’s used correctly it’s not an issue (ie check pitchers health and pitch locations) but if it’s done multiple times in an at bat the person is being toxic and doing it to intentionally irritate and screw with the opponent. It’s one of the biggest issues that toxic players exploit.

R3 is worse 🤫

I started stepping off the mound after someone does something well like grind out a 12 pitch at bat and hit a hike run to break a tie. That’s just baseball.

I thought there was a limit as to how many times you can step off???

I really like this idea. Outside of replaying an opponents HR there's no really way to do this.

There is. You can step off 3 times before you are locked into making a pitch.

Hey man, it doesn’t happen THAT often!!! Lol

What if you could give your opponent a pack you have in your inventory after the game, or even in game.
-
Cool idea, but this would definitely become toxic

Exactly but there is no limit on R2. That’s why I’ve been saying for years it gives the abuser a distinct advantage and they know it!
