i Faced him once in an Event game last night. 1 HR and 1 double and the guy took him out in the second after a leadoff walk. He wasnt hard to pick up but again was 1 inning

No, he's the same every year. Great on paper but BP in reality.
He was pretty dang good in 16 but we are talking a completely different game than we have now.

I don't like him at all & I wonder if anyone in this entire forum has used him w/ success in the higher ranks. He gets eaten alive every time I've seen him, that also includes ppl streaming against him.
Who are your favorite 5
Mine are feller sale Maddux Orel and kershaw not in any order
Feller and Sale have pitched to the tune of 7+ ERAs in this event for me, what about you? Everyone I face crushes them
-
He got crushed for me both times I tried him too.
-
Happy to earn Bellinger finally...the guy offering BJs got angry and dashboards
-
I got Jake tonight and am scared to try him in RS lol
-
Sorry u had that experience. I tried him both before and after his attributes were adjusted. The new version is considerably better.
-
I sold him and bought back jake, I got shelled with him too but I like his motion and stuff better so out of the two I’ll keep him. Nothing else to use stubs on so might as well. I bought Mathewson also and in his first game he went 8 1/3 and had 16 strikeouts lol. Fun card to use, I love the old legends with the funky windups and excellent stretch moves that create another weapon of timing. Stoked on that card!
-
OK. So these Arrieta and Verlander cards suck, huh? I got Bellinger today after two days of work. Trying to decide if I want to go after either of these. Verlander is a nice payday, I guess. But sounds like they both suck to use.

Has anyone tried the Kopech 97 FS card? I’ve had small sample size but so far I really like him-his control hasn’t been an issue. I’ve seen a lot of comparisons to the Pearson Extreme reward card and have used both recently-IMO Kopech smooth delivery makes him easier to control and he seems to miss way more bats than the Pearson card does-anyone else used these cards much in RS?

I tried kopech but his control was an issue for me and just not a fan of the card overall. I do generally like power pitchers but not that card for whatever reason, I’m stocked with flamethrowers that have a slider a curve and a change.
-
He has outlier and his 4 seam seems to jump/move....off speed pitches have decent break but good speed differentials...I’ve tried just about every SP in the game....recently bought Sale-he was gone after couple starts...have Kersh...Orel....Kluber....Maddux as ones that I’ve used consistently ...Degrom TA
Bauer TA...Pearson FS and Kopech FS I’ve been trying lately to slot in that 4-5 spot in rotation...actually like Dustin May card from way back...may go back and give him a shot -
I've tried Arrieta, and I liked his pitches, but he just got hit way too hard for me. I sold him for close to 500k the day before the Central event started. I've always been curious about Verlander, but it sounds like hes gonna be a no. I doubt I'll get to 60 wins anyway, but if I did atleast that would be stubs lol. I only have about 10 wins, so still grinding for Belli. I've tried FS Kopech, and I liked him. I ended up selling him to help finish other collections but may have to buy him back....

People sleep on Walter Johnson. Dude has been HUGE for me this year
Agreed. Just prestiged him last night in the event, can't wait to try the new and improved Big Train later this week!

His prestige card has the below stats for me.
200 innings
2.02 ERA
.70 WHIP
BA VS RHB- .113
BA VS LHB - .108
240 K’s
17 BBCard gets better out of the stretch too. Enjoy man!

I'm loving Kopech so far, very small sample size (like 9IP) but he's bee dominant in both outings. 7IP 3ER against a top 50 player, and 2IP before a dashboard in his first start. His control has been top notch which I did not expect at all.

I just picked him up with my 11th Inning program pack. I just might give him a shot in my rotation.. he isn't used that much which probably helps. I know I usually have a tough time against him unless my opponent relies on the fastball too much and gets predictable.
