Does anybody know why some prospects are so expensive for example adley rutschman jo adell, lux, gilbert

Because they are unbelievably rare cards.

They're the ones that don't come in packs. I don't remember where they all came from, but mostly WS rewards and Events.

Ok I guess that makes sense but idk just weird still cause personally I wouldn’t pay even 40k for any of them unless it was to complete a trout voucher. And still I would never use them I definitely wont be complete prospects collection but I would like to do the whole future stars collection -

Personally I'm buying certain expensive cards that I will never use, just to move up the prestige xp levels.

Rutschman - Ranked Season 1 Reward
Adell - BR Reward
Lux - Expired Event Reward
Gilbert - Expired Event Reward -

Jo Adell, Was the first World Series reward at the beginning of the game. I believe Adley Rutschman was a event reward

Personally I'm buying certain expensive cards that I will never use, just to move up the prestige xp levels.
Yep I have done that with the Rookie, AS and Vet collections
