Foxx is very good. A top 3 RH swing in the game. He does have defensive deficiencies but I haven’t have anything too egregious happen. I’m going to use Perez next - he looks very good on paper. As far as the stubs idk what to tell you, the best cards are gonna cost a pretty penny

Edit: I have heard very good things about Realmuto

Travis d'Arnaud is available for less than a $12K buy now on the market, I'd definitely give him a shot if you're short on stubs

I have every hitter in the game except Gehrig, and Salvador Perez is the only hitter that is hitting over .450 with 10+ homers. Jimmie Foxx is a close 2nd as far as hitting catchers. I haven't used d'Arnaud.

Foxx is the best bat, but somewhat of a liability on defense. I played him at C through my WS run and didn't really have issues, but you can't complain when he doesn't block a pitch in the dirt that allows your opponent to advance or score.

Salvador Perez is probably the best all around catcher, he has a good swing and solid perks to go with good enough defense and a reasonable arm. I wish his contact versus lefties was just a bit higher though.

Travis D'Arnaud is okay, but he's like Mookie behind the dish with extreme reverse splits. Most already have Trout and Tatis and maybe Mookie too, so too much of the same could be a problem here when facing a lefty.

Piazza's swing makes him terrible imo.

Pudge is the best defensive catcher but his swing doesn't generate any exit velo whatsoever, very underwhelming card.

Johnny Bench is terrible, but don't worry about him because you'll never get your hands on him.

Buster Posey is still okay in my opinion, especially if you run a lineup with a lot of reverse split guys like Trout, Tatis and Mookie or a lot of lefty bats; Posey is a great lefty killer to plug in between some of them. I personally think he has a great swing too.

CAP is always a solid option, I would advise to make a balanced 89 overall CAP with all diamond equipment if you choose to go that route.

Last but not least, Posada is a tremendous budget option who plays well above his attributes. His swing is fantastic and the ball jumps off his bat, I really like that card. He's not a great defensive catcher but still decent and doesn't get penalized for playing a secondary position.

No one gonna say pudge??? By faaar the best defensive catcher in the game. I hit like .275 with him which is plenty for the defense he brings to the table.

.275? I guess that's a matter of perspective, anyone who bats .275 for me I consider atrocious and will never even be worth a glance again lol.
