Sign up for a red card at Target. People sometimes confuse it with a credit card as they have that also but the Red Card is linked to your debit/bank card. It’s not a credit card at all and you get 5% off any purchase. So that’s $25 off right there. It’s not a lot but it’s at least something.
Also December 5th and 6th Target is having 10% off gift cards up to $300. You buy $300 worth of gift cards, have a buddy buy $200 for you and Boom! You have a PS5 for $450 before tax.

Thanks for the info. I shop at Target and have a red card. So if I did it myself it would be 270 dollars for the 300dollars in gift cards. So total price would be 370 but I would get 5% off the one hundred dollars. so it would be 365.
Or I think I can trade my ps4 pro in to gamestop and get 170 dollars credit. with 2 controllers probably 200 credit.

Right, if you are going digital. However the trade in option would be your best bet with GameStop and you can always go the gift card method for PS5 accessories and games at Target.
The other option would be to sell your Pro on FB marketplace for more than what GameStop would give you but then you may be without a console for a bit til a PS5 is in stock.

To hit refresh hourly for two weeks on PS Direct to try and get in a queue? To wake up at 4am to try and get the BestBuy drop? The few Walmart drops? Just to get one console. That’s not worth anything?
What if I buy and sell trading cards from time to time. Some cards inflate in price and I make $20 on a $3 card is that not okay? What about the C8 Corvette that dealers are marking $20k over msrp, is that fine? Just curious? It’s not just the PS5 it’s everything. Shoes, vehicles, toilet paper and hand sanitizer for crying out loud.

Blue Dodger the vehicle marketing is all hype and FOMO. Take the Dodge Challenger for example. First it’s the base, then now you need the R because we added 50hp and a stiffer suspension, now it’s the Hellcat, hold on that sucks because you don’t have the DEMON! Corvette will be the same way they’ll add the Z package and then the Stingray.
I was fortunate enough to buy one of my dream cars in February. Since then the market has inflated the price close to $5k. I suppose though I should just sell it for what I paid for if that time comes.
Totally unrelated to the game & thread, but curious as a car enthusiast myself, what car were you able to snag?

I got a Porsche Cayman 987.2 manual 6spd with 19k miles on it from Florida (I’m in MN). Extremely clean car looks as it has never seen rain. These are mid engine cars and the handling is crazy, crazy, CRAZY, good. I have since put a Numeric shifter and cables on it, wheel spacers to flush the wheels with the body and a Soul valved exhaust that sounds SAWEET. I love this thing, sadly it’s now tucked away for winter. Here is a picture when I first got it.

I had a PS5 sitting in my closet for about a week and FINALLY got around to hooking it up last night. As far as actual gameplay there not enough of a difference to justify getting one just for MLB20. It’s little stuff like how quick load times are, I kept pre pitch swinging with my next batter after an out. I realized I was use to hitting x a couple times when the next batter is walking up to get to the plate and the 4 has a bit of a delay. Not the 5 it’s instant.
You do really notice the frame drops that the 4 had now that I’m seeing how smooth this is. MLB parks are not an issue and play great (small sample). Online seemed not choppy at all. There was this noticeable drop sometimes on swing and misses online and that’s gone. The game just feels great. That said it’s still the old hitting engine and the mechanics of the game are the same. However from what I’m seeing that the 5 can do to this game designed for the 4. 21 looks very promising!
One side note: I fired this first on my living room big screen to check out Cyberpunk on a nicer tv as I play on a monitor usually. Tried MLB on this tv and HOLY HANAH is the delay bad. Breaking balls on Allstar were like 102mph FBs. I couldn’t do it, I was just terrible. I suggest if you are wanting to be competitive at all in this game a monitor is a must.

Hmmm, my experience was it is basically the same game with slight improvement on the 5. No frame drops and faster load times than the PS4 are the main things so what does the PS4 do that the PS5 can’t in your experience?

The PS4 Pro offers nothing. The PS5 you get zero frame drops. that is all. You can play at highest resolution with "sharper" setting in game and it plays as smooth as silk. But if you are playing online H2H that wont make much of a difference because you are still gonna get lag. Lag and FPS drops are 2 totally different thing. FPS is referring to the smoothness of play via the hardware, or software in some cases, lag refers to the smoothness of play between internet connections. PS5 cannot help the later.
