Card has been clutch for my bullpen. Watching those swings is so hilarious.. reminiscent of the RA Dickey days back in the old shows

Until you run into a halfway decent show vet. I crush knuckleballers personally. Extra patience.

But ya, rookies to the show, diff story.

The key is to get a solid inning out of him, not to flaunt the KB, once he reaches 15-25 pitches then pull bc he’s figured out. Still difficult to place that PCI up on him if your mixing w fastballs

@skepple15 nah cheesing would be if every pitch thrown was KB, but a good player would know how to mix & match

Congrats on cheesing with a common pitcher and using a pitch that SDS has never been able to properly balance!

@skepple15 if some is spamming KB every pitch then yeah their cheesing, if I’m using my whole pitch inventory and am EFFECTIVE then theres a skill gap. All the hate for Knucklers since the Dickey days of 13 continues haha

It's ok you need to exploit to win, a lot of us don't but you do you!

@skepple15 theres no exploit w a KB pitcher. I myself would love to go up against one. But I also know how to pitch with one. I can throw your timing off for a solid 3-5 batters till you’ve adjusted. Ain’t like I’m using him the whole game, now that would be cheesing and dumb. To call me an exploit player when I’ve been playing the game just as long as you is disrespectful. My post is not a flaunt, you got scrubs announcing they pull Trout then go <.500. you go INTO their post calling them cheesy and an exploit?

A common pitcher being able to be that effective is an exploit, sorry. Like I said, most of us here don't exploit to win but we're actually good at the game...

Point is a KB out of the pen, if used properly, can be EFFECTIVE don’t matter if card is common or not. End of story

Nah, it's an exploit, if a common is that effective there's clearly something not right and that's the fact that they've never been able to balance their effectiveness properly, that's why no good players use knuckleballs, they know how cheesy it is. but like I said, you do you, you need it, others don't.

Only way to balance the knuckle ball is to completely remove all aspects of control. Knuckle balls should purely be "Press X to throw". RNG would rule the day. Only way to balance it.

and high knuckleballs should be flat af and get crushed , but that doesn't happen.

Who knows mb I’m publicizing Feierabend on here to see more appearances from him for those “cheesy” players that think the KB alone will get the job done

Nah, you thought people would go along with your cheesy exploit but that wasn't the case..

If I went up against someone spamming KB after KB I agree I would say their cheese also. And would quickly figure them out. But if dude is mixin the FB in also peppering the paint and corners then I’d give them props. It’s only a matter of time to figure one’s pattern and frequency but for a solid inning I’ll continue “exploiting” till SDS figures something out I guess

    Feirabend is a 49 OVR...

I don’t care how good you are at pitching, no pitcher rated that low should be that effective. Put another common pitcher on the mound and see how he does, I’m sure it won’t even be CLOSE. I wonder why that would be the case? Maybe because he has a broken pitch exclusive to only him 🤔?
