I used to own a window cleaning company, I gave up actually cleaning the windows myself and hired a couple of guys to clean the windows, so I could make money from it without working. Somehow corona [censored] me over, regardless of it being an outdoor occupation that should have been unaffected by the pandemic and it reached a point of being no longer economically viable for myself, or my employees. Now I drive for something along the lines of Uber eats, but I’m still self employed and I get to choose when I work, which is nice. Money isn’t all that bad either, but going back to working 30-40 hour weeks wasn’t really in my plans 12 months ago. You just have to go with whatever works at the time. I don’t see myself sticking with it permanently, but for now, that’s where I’m at with work.

That’s a tough one man. We will get over this pandemic soon and you’ll figure out something new and everything will be how it used to be before.

That sucks man. Hopefully you’ll be able to get back to it after lockdown, but I’m glad you found something in the meantime

In today's politically charged climate, this seems like a bad thread idea...
I assume you all have mortgages to pay and kids to feed. You never know who is digging through your social media feed from 2008 trying to see if any popular opinion you expressed back then that's heresy now and if it can be used to get you fired from your job.
Remember everyone, your company will sacrifice you the second there's a possibility of bad PR drummed up by newly created anonymous Twitter accounts even, if you've been there for 15 years. That's the world we live in now.
We're not Kevin Hart here...no one cares about the average Joe's opinions
