I had one in my cart multiple times on the release debacle and was never able to check out or secure one. I was only able to get one because I bought a friends disc version after they secured a disc less. Without that friend I’d of never gotten one. Thank god ups showed up at 12 today.

Yeah, I don't understand the rush. I think the Spiderman game looked like the only game I'd even want to play. Definitely not worth it at this point. I'll wait until there's a decent lineup of games.

Got lucky as well so keep trying everyone. Was hitting refresh at 3pm for Walmart and when that just was spinning I randomly refreshed the Sony site and there it was able to order. Was convinced I'd lose it while checking out but order went thru and huge relief.

Failed at Wally world again. I don't have a ps4 pro so I'm eager to try it out and see if it can improve my play a little. I'm going to try Sony Direct first thing tomorrow though.

Didn't even know today was launch day. Not even remotely interested until after the New Year. I only play like 2 or 3 games at all anymore, so getting a new system is kind of like whatever.
Comes with age I guess. -
I can wait as I'll be playing a lot of CyberPunk on PC when it comes out, but I did try the Walmart 12:00, 3:00, 6:00 and just now 9:00 online attempts. Neither were fruitful. I got to the payment part each time before being informed it was out of stock. If I could have gotten an order today, great. I had planned on waiting until new year anyway. But, that doesn't take away the absolute horrible experience many have endured with this pre-order and launch.

It's quite silly, It's not like Playstation (or Microsoft for that matter) barely made any consoles and have to severely limit supply.
Yes I'm sure 2020 did have some effect on production, but this type of thing is to create hype, "Look how fast we sold out"

WALMART is the worst. Get one in my cart, confirm shipping address, select payment method and then their website gives me an error while placing the order, by the time it allows me to continue again, "we're sorry" the item in no longer available.

Sounds like most of our experiences. Lol. It's been a nightmare for sure. I'm hoping Sony Direct is smoother. Heard much better things about that. Or you know, walmart can get it together too..

sony direct at least abides by their que. walmart is a crapshoot. only reason i was able to get my original ps4 from them was I was a salaried manager and it wasn't ONLINE only.

PlayStation direct might be the best bet. I waited in a queue for almost 2 hours but I got it. You get free express shipping if you have PlayStation plus

i won the walmart lottery....or well I think I did since I got confirmation but shipping on thanksgiving is pretty suspect
